Mesh Problems

The "Double Sided" button in Blender used to have no effect on the exported NIF. A recent change was made which adds the "NiStencilProperty" to any object that has the "Double Sided" button enabled. It is just another improvement that was made to the export scripts.

However, I still recommend that if your model does not need the texture visible on both sides, do NOT use the Double Sided button or NiStencilProperty for performance reasons. You just need to flip the normals to correct it. If the CTRL+N does not do the trick, then you need to select each face and flip them manually (and be sure not to use the CTRL+N later since your model was not happy with it the 1st time...and yes, it is a model design issue, not a Blender issue). To help find these faces that need to be flipped, you can turn on some hair that shows up on each face and points in the direction that the texture is facing. To do this, go into EDIT mode by selecting the object and press TAB. On the "Mesh Tools More" tab, click the "Draw Normals" button to enable it. You can then adjust how long or short these blue lines are drawn by adjusting the NSize variable...default is 0.100. While in Face Select mode (CTRL + TAB + 3), you can then select a single face and press W to show the pop-up menu and click "Flip Normals"
