NDDragor
I already had visited the location "Federal Stockpile", killed every raider, opened every lock, hacked every terminal and looted all the stuff, includinbg the fatman there. Now after some time I decidet to revisit that place just for fun, but when I arrived there everything had respawned. Not only the enemys, but all containers and terminals were locked again and everything was full with loot, even the items that were placed on the floor and were picked up by me in my first visit had respawned. Now I seem to remember that this had happened to some other places, but i kinda didnt noticed it back then. So the question- Is this normal or some kind of bug on my side? I mean its naturall that some enemys respawn but the facts that all containers can be unlocked and looted again and all items are back is kinda weird, since now I can get some good loot more then once from the same place. Glirmin
Happened to me as well, but i just had the Raiders back in the location (the museum where you get the power Armour)I feel like this may be a bug to some extent. Like maybe they wanted just the enemies to re spawn, not all the loot.
Coldkiss86x
Not sure if it's a bug or not but it does give us even more of a reason to revisit places after so many days in game passed. I liked how in Skyrim enemies would respawn, but unless you had a quest that brought you back there wasn't much a reason to actually revisit it. Maybe they wanted to give us more incentive to revisit stuff? I've only come across respawning ammo, misc, and aid. I haven't seen any notable high value weapons respawn. I guess that would be a good way to tell if it's a bug or not. If the same fatboy or unique weapons are there again then that just doesn't seem right since it would be easily exploitable. Deleted3507349User
Kinda makes sense that if a place repopulates the new inhabitants would relock everything and load up the place...
ChristinaWL
It's not a bug, the game has infinite level cap and therefore every mob will respawn at the same location you have been to, even if it says cleared, also loot respawns at every location, so if you encounter registers, suitcases and so on, they'll have new respawned pre-war money in it. It's a bad thing Bethesda did this feature and I hope some mod in the future will disable respawning.
jet4571
The world will get awful boring without respawns and that's why Bethesda implemented them. FO3 having no respawns was fine because the game ended(until Broken Steel), by the time you got to the ending the world was just becoming depopulated. That defeats the purpose of a never ending game unless you want it to become a walking simulator.
NDDragor
Alright, good to know its not just me. Well its not bad since I get a reason to return to places and get some items or ammo I need if I still remember the places where it was, but in my opinion expensive and powerful items or content of containers with a master lock shouldn't respawn since they are losing their purpose of being unique and rare loot. Personally I like the turrets respawning since its a good Source to get some parts and 5.56mm ammo.
LordTonyZ
I picked up the same nuka cola quantum in the same fridge in the same location over 5 times now.I'm all for enemy respawn but this item respawn doesn't even make sense.
gendalv
I have Sanctuary Hills respawn stuff in containers that I haven't moved, it's really annoying and unrealistic
Moraelin
I think the respawn time is about 30 in-game days, if that helps.
