lance789
Better Settlement RaidsI've been playing fallout 4 for quite some time now (+70hrs) and during this time i've built up 2 settlements, Sactuary Hills (still building) and Star Drive-In (still building). during my +70hrs of play, only 1 settlement got a raid attack, and it wasnt one that im actually actively working on. I'm building mainly in Santuary Hills and it never once got raided. i want it to be raided. So im asking if anyone could build a mod that does the following: Main FeaturesAdds random raid parties against settlements.Raids only happen in settlements with am object like Radio Beacon that is ON. (like mod raids are only possible if the tower is ON, kinda like a trigger.)Settlers assigned to a Scavaging Station can retrieve loot from bodies.Raids can happen at any time of day or night and during any weather type. The party size of Raids ignore settlement size, Defenses, and # of settlers (if these things are factored). Optional FeaturesRandom raid sizes (from small: 3 - 5, medium: 8 - 10, and large: 15+)Player can specify the frequency of raids (maybe like the way it was done in Wasteland Defense and Tundra Defense?) where there could be a Base time limit and then an additional ammount of time can be set to randomly add or subtract x amount of time from it?Simultaneous raids where all parties involved are against each other (for example: raiders + super mutants = Settlers vs Raiders vs Super Mutants (practically a free for all))A Tower Defense Mode that can be activated through an addon object (something that can be placed within the settlement and then switched ON to begin), sarting from small raid parties and increasing in size. Maybe this mode can grant prizes for progression? (for example: waves 1 - 3 win 50 Wood, waves 4 - 8 win 50 Copper, etc.)Endless Mode that will constantly span an enemy/enemies that steadily increase in number over time. (for example: Start - 3 enemies, after 3 - 5 mins add 2 enemies, afer another 3 - 5 mins add another 2 minutes, continuous). This mode should be triggered with a key press so player can stop the spawns from continuing (this should be assignable), also the if this where triggered by a placable object, the Player may not be able to get to that object if he/she wishes to end the mode.(Maybe needed) Increased health for Settlers (so they dont die if thats a thing). This should be an optional addon for balancing reasons.(Maybe needed) Increased chance of new Settlers. Raid FactionsRaidersSuper MutantsSynthsGhoulsRobot Raiders?Others (at Modder's desgretion) Thanks for taking the time to read through this. WolfkillShepard
This would be cool! Hope someone's down to make something similar. I've armed my settlements to the teeth, seems silly no raiders are trying to get in on that sweet loot. taco799
Id say remove ghouls as I don't think they can organize really, and i know the semi human ghouls are welcome at the settlements. And remove synths for certain settlements as it wouldnt make sense in case you choose to ally with the institute. But perhaps for certain settlements that are allied to a faction have different factions attack each other. Say the airport could be attacked by Synths, minutemen, railroad, etc...even if its my settlement or the castle attacked by the brotherhood or railroad etc... Deleted2792127User
From my experience playing Fallout 4 (over 130 hours) I think settlements need tons of work. The first things that need to happen in my opinion... ... defenses should be able to protect your base if raided. Currently you can have hundreds of turrets and if the settlement gets raided, the raid is 100% successful. You have to physically go to the settlement for it to survive. ... after a raid there should be a cool down where that base is safe (if you cleared out the enemy) for a certain amount of time. Two of my bases have massive defense, guards, turrets, walls, one is surrounded by water on three sides, and they get raided every day. I have to go defend them every time. This really sucks because I want to go do other missions. ... the ability for armor and weapons the people at the settlement have to matter. ... if they fix my first point, people at settlement should be able to auto loot raiders and gear up. So next time you visit... you see people wearing armor from bandits.
Cryolyptic
I requested something similar here: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3408000-fallout-4-zombies/Would really like a ghoul invasion on my settlements simply because their animations are fricken awesome. Give them the ability to destroy objects and make your defenses actually mean something.Could even add waves, with mutants as heavier units, and Mirelurks for support units.Really so much potential.
