crobom
I want a world void of people ..buildings and creatures. All i want is the landscape and no scripts whatsoever.I tried to erase all scripts and keep the actual caves and buildings but it crashed instantly.I want to model my own low low poly everything (except landscape)and put them ingame.i saw what was possible using torque game engine and it was to cheesy.I want to use oblivions engine.Create my own people ,buildings, objects and actions.Nothing spectacular.. Just want to learn modeling ,scripting. Maybe years from now i could actually create(make) an actual game. Might there be a better game(construction kit) out there to try this on. Where does one learn game scripting.I saw a mod of a honda motorcycle for oblivion. They used the horse scripting to make it move. The bike gallops. Is it possible to create a new scriptusing the tes kit that would make it cruise like in GTA or something like that.Whats possible.,Whats not.Why arent there any gun mods in oblivion. Is it even possible.Could a person put a modern scene ingame.Or is that immpossible. Its the buildings and the time of age that make oblivion premodern not the landscpe.I simply want to use the land and the engine and the scripting. ninja_lord666
I don't think it's possible to do what you're trying. Please only make one thread, not three.
Switch
Removed all your other threads. If you're new to forums, it's a good idea to read the rules before posting. They should give an idea of what to do and what not to do. ^^ For one thing, if you want to ask a question please keep it in one place rather than all across the forums, as that's seen as spam here. Thanks!
Vagrant0
I would strongly suggest doing more modding within oblivion yourself with things as they are before you considder attempting what I think you are. Total conversions require alot of time (often days) just defining stuff before you can even get started, and that's when you already have the meshes and textures available. Doing this requires knowing exactly what all the associated settings do within the CS, as even the wiki doesn't touch on several of them, you will likely end up spending weeks frustrated, unable to get things working, unable to test anything, unable to proceed further. While there are some blank .esms available, you can still continually run into these problems if you don't have enough familiarity with the CS and oblivion in general. While guns could technically be done, it would be a total replacement to bows, and require entirely new animations as well as total understanding of how bows and arrows are implemented. As none of this is possible currently, guns consequently aren't possible currently, and havn't been worked on much because they require so much effort. As with most things in Oblivion, the moment you try to do something which is not present in some form already with the game, the more problems you run into. The scripting engine is rather limited, the AI is very limited, and many things simply can't be changed/added to.
