grandpauj1
Ok so I bought fallout 4 today, went to install the game. Got done with the disk part (I think it down loaded from disk) now to play I must "Update" my game that is four days old, It has already used all the data on my plan (Hughes net) and is at 51%. How FRICKEN big is this "Update". Do I need to update like 10% per month. Hate to sound so sarcastic but come on, can't they just let a guy buy the game, down load it (from the disk) and play. People who are going to pirate the game are going to figure out a way to do it any how, they always do.
SMB92
Its 24GB. Not all the data is on the disk.
STE41k
Don't you just F'ing Hate them data limits, I have dish network and a 20 GB month data plan.I HATE it! My data was already up before I got the game so I have not even been able to get any of it. But I plan to just download it on my laptop at the library and move it to my gaming PC. Just have not had a chance to do that yet. I would suggest doing that or if you have a friend that has better internet go to his house with your computer and finish it there. Ether way its a lot of crap to go through to get some damn date. And you bought a physical copy of it and still have to download stuff that's such Bull s***. I read about that when I was thinking about getting a copy of GTA V its the same you don't get the full game on the DVD's, you have to download a patch to finish the install. I had my nephew bring a steam backup over for me on a external HD (still have not bought the game yet but its there when I do, might need to get a patch or two but not the full 50 GBs). grandpauj1
Thanks for the replys. 24GB, wow.....just....fricken wow. @ STE41K I would kill for 20Gb a month. I pay $71.64 for what is the largest plan they offer (I think) for 10gb.I used all that I had remaining for the month, payed another $16.00 for 2GB so as not to be without internet at all, and hoping that would be enough to finish the down load. I guess I will have to streach it out for a few months!!! and yes it is Bulls***. Not real sure how to do the whole "Download to another computer, and transfer it to mine" thing. I don't have a laptop so can't do that any how. Not sure if the local Starbucks would appreciate me draging my desktop, monitor, keyboard and mouse in. LMFAO I read a thing that I think the CEO of Beth soft wrote about how they have been doing this for 10 years +or- and that's true. I had to do it with both FONV and Skyrim, BUT NOT 24Gb. They are getting just flat ass silly about this now. 5.21GB on the disk and 24Gb of download. The other way around would still be stupid, but not as stupid as this is. And thanks for the heads up about the GTA V thing. Had a copy in my hand the other day and thought...GTA or FO4, put it back and went for FO4. 50 GB! again wow...wow that is like 6 months if all goes perfect (which it won't) and I don't use the Internet for anything else. Guess if I plan on playing any of the new game's in the future, I am going to have to sell my house in the country (that I worked my a$$ off for) and buy a house in town so I can download the rest of what they don't put on the disk. That's enough ranting for now (I guess) thank's again for the rapid replys.
