A question for mods of Fallout 4

NMM does not currently support Fo4. It will but likely only after the official mod tools are released.

 

Yes, you'll have to install any mods you want now manually. This shouldn't be hard though, since at this point it's advisable to stick with mesh and texture replacers. Anything featuring an esp at this point may break your game later when the mod tools are released. No, you don't need to backup your files. The vanilla game files are located in a Bethesda Archive, which can be over written with things placed in meshes/texture folders but remains safely archived if you wish to revert back to vanilla all you need do is delete the mod related meshes and textures the game will immediatly go back to loading the originals from the archives.

Some other thread an admin (can't remember which thread and who, but it's on either mod discussion or general discussion of FO4) said the NMM would be released sometime next week, if anyone can clarify this, that would be great.
