dayglo98
This computer comes with a Radeon 6450 video card, definitely NOT something you can use to play Fallout 4 at any playable framerate.

dayglo98
Its been a while since I shopped for a new graphics card so hopefully someone with more up to date knowledge will chime in. Here I have an i5-2500k with a Radeon R9 280X video card and I still feel like it could be better. For now though I know that Nvidia cards perform better with that specific game. unorthodocks
I've been recommending builds to friends that want to build a PC to play fallout 4 and I've been recommending the AMD r9 380. Its basically an updated version of the aforementioned 280x. Its only about $200 bucks and comes with either 2gb or 4gb or VRAM. Maybe someone here can say if 4GB VRAM would be necessary for Fallout 4, I'd be interested myself on my friends behalf's. I'd assume you'd want 4GB especially with mods coming. For CPU I've been recommending an AMD Athlon X4 860K. quad core, 3.7ghz. Anyone can chime in about how this would handle it at high settings. ofc with that stupid shadow distance turned to medium, probably god rays on low or medium
kibasnowpaw
Games dont use as much CPU today as they do GPU its better to save on the CPU and get a good GPU and fast RAM
