Mods you already want

'tis easier to destroy, than to create.

So, I can't see 'restore lands' being viable. At least, not within a couple centuries time of work.

But. I can see restoring PORTIONS of it. yes, survivors will, at first, have to scrape by (as we see in game - very realistic). But much of the infrastructure is still there, files can be restored, information reclaimed and made useful. So, factories can be rebuilt.

Recycling technologies would be most useful, to 'clean up' and make use of materials already at hand (already refined).

I'd love to see the following mods: (love some of the ones mentioned above, may re-state for emphasis, noted with **)

Most of these would likely be best tied to higher level Perks, also unlocked by certain level of progression in quest-line, character level....

1) Greenhouses (already have at least 2, in game). That way, you'd no longer be as limited on space (as some settlements are). Build a tower, turrets on sides, greenhouse on top - people and resources are now almost fully protected within a very small footprint.

a) Same style as current Greenhouse

b) expand upon current in-game potted plants, perhaps?

2) ** Repair, restore, or even UPGRADE Nick

a) I've not completed story, but suspect quest-line with Nick leaves him dangerously damaged

b) technologies can be salvaged or bought from Institute

3) Some plants/fungi apparently neutralize radioactivity - can expand upon that to purify small zones. Or simply to create a self-sustaining, renewable source - greenhouse purification, perhaps?

(glowing fungi, anyone?) - no more radioactive fresh produce, 'k ?

3) ** higher levels of building structure

Stage 1: current.

Stage 2: Improved building panels (no more see-through walls or roofs)

Stage 3: Advanced building objects (wired internals, indoor plumbing, functioning and non-broken appearing tubs/showers/sinks/appliances)

Stage 4: 'Futuristic' building panels / objects - as in, near pre-War technology, without the greed/bloodthirsty/inhuman corporate styling. (exploding 200+ year-old defunct cars??)

4) ** Less restrictions on Settlement Population (21 cap raised to...? 50? 100?)

5) ** Settlers more automated

a) pick the veggies and store them for me!

b) assign settler to cookfire/stove - cook recipes (limited by available supplies)

c) assign settler to Salvage (salvage junk items, etc stored in Workbench - reduce clutter)

d) assign settler to Maintenance (repair damaged items - turrets, etc)

e) assign settler to 'Water' - bottle water (limited by number of empty bottles supplied)

6) Additional levels of recycling available - goodness knows, there's VAST quantities of salvage out there! half-destroyed buildings/cities, defunct vehicles, dead trees

a) addition of advanced workbench - Recycling Building

b) assign settler(s) to Recycling Building to generate raw materials as determined by assignment (3? 5? more settlers maximum to building)

I just want an Iron Man suit.

And a Hulk-Buster suit.

And Repulsor beams.

And sustainable flight from the jetpack.

That's not asking too much is it? :D

errmmm....

You HAVE an iron man suit! Whatcha think these Power Suits are? o.O

Now, hulk-busting... They do work well against Super Mutants, and Super Mutant Masters, and (if you move quickly enough), even the Behemoths. ^_^

Repulsor beams.. hmmm.... lasers, plasmas, They do a fine job of burning stuff, but dunno about 'repulsing'.

Sustainable flight... Haven't found one, tried one, so iunno. Are they separate from the Fusion Core? 'cause if you carry 50 of those babies, I'm sure you can sustain flight for a nice long time!

A quest to upgrade/repair Nick's features

That's a really nice idea, imo. I like the idea of being able to raise your faction's flag over your settlements, too.

I would like an expressive eyebot companion, like ED-E II in Lonesome Road; a pet cat (I know there are already cat companion mods, but I'd like one I can pick up as a stray and leave in Sanctuary, where it's safe); and a way to assemble Giddyup Buttercup parts into complete Buttercups. I want to collect Buttercups the way I collect teddy bears.

I want to collect Buttercups the way I collect teddy bears.

Wait...

You collect teddy bears? o.O

Didja find the pair of lover bears on their shiny bed amidst the flowers?

I nearly fell out of my chair, laughing at that one. Someone was being a bit naughty.

Just a comic book nerd, I want the real thing. Sleeker, less bulky. Like someone in another thread mentioned, the power armor we have now is like the first set Stark built in the cave, or like the original first series comics. I'm looking for the movie/modern versions.

Plus, if you console your AP to 99999999999 and then either spawn yourself a bunch of fusion cores or use the currently available mod that keeps them from running out at all, you can get a decent little flight out of the jetpack, but I wanna be able to cross the map lol.

Um, no. Not at all.

I'm not sure if it's the same pair of lover bears you're talking about, but I did find a couple on a factory conveyor belt (shades of FO3). And one on a toilet reading a newspaper. (I think I've actually found two reading papers, but only one in a bathroom.)

Having played a bit more, I want to be able to command scribe on research patrol to stay the hell outside while I clear out the baddies inside.

Also, I don't like Suiciders. They don't make sense for a dying race and I want them gone.

Not sure if this has been said before, so I apologise if it has.

But I would like to see a mod that allows you to call in your power armour (or random/from the brotherhood) wherever you are - you'd have to be outside though - but it would be like a drop-pod.

I guess to call it in you could use the same feature available for the artillery strike (using the artillery grenades - there's probably a better way of doing it, I haven't progressed very far in the game, so I'm probably missing something).

So say your in the middle of a fight you struggling with but you don't want to flee or your heading into a heavily radiated area- you could throw down a grenade/something (as a beacon) then a couple of seconds later either a drop-pod containing or just the power armour itself falls from the sky and lands on where you placed the the grenade/beacon (maybe with a bit of area effect damage) - does power armour take fall damage? - I know you the character don't, but does fall damage reduce the armour's health? I guess you could just tweak that. So once it lands you could use it like you normally would.

If the mod allowed you to use your own power armour and you had multiple sets there could be a mini menu enabling you to select which one - actually being able to rename your power armour would be helpful if say you had 2 T-60's.

Not a top priority mod I know, but one I feel could be fairly useful.

I love the suiciders...they make killing a bunch of sup's a lot easier, you just shoot their right arm and everyone around them gets blown up.
