Not a whole lot of damage compared to modern weapons, but the accuracy of those old guns is really impressive if they're loaded right. I was at a muzzle-loader meet once watching a guy in buckskins driving nails at 50 yards with a genuine antique Kentucky Rifle. Mind you, they were roofing nails with the large heads painted neon orange. Edited, it was more like 50 yards now that I think about it. Still some impressive shooting.
