Warmaker01
"Heavy Infantry" is exactly what Power Armor is designed for. I think of it more as a blend of the Infantry and Tank warfare roles. Think of WWII where infantry had no body armor but the support of a tank was needed. Yet in the close confines of an urban environment, tanks were in very real danger. Solution: Give infantry tank-like armor to cleave their way through a dangerous area! Ever since FO1, Power Armor was never about subtlety. Power Armor was about survivability and brute force, plain and simple, while retaining the mobility of the infantry. FO4 finally captures the essence of the tank-like nature of PA. FO4 finally captures the essence of the tank-like nature of PA. It's what the current set is designed for, yes. But whose to say modders can't design power armor for a different purpose? A thiner, sleeker power armor could be designed for a different purpose and it's drawbacks could be different from regular power armor. As for what the suit can't just be a normal suit that's not power armor, and why it needs fusion cores: The information readout could help with sneaking. The fusion core could allow for a short movement speed boost. The fusion core allows for the stealth field to be deployed. The fusion core could allow for higher jumping to be part of the mod, allowing you to bypass certain dungeons or make it to the top of buildings that normally require a lot of climbing. There are any number of reasons why this can't just be a non-fusion core powered suit. However, I would love if that was also an option. Just a normal, cloth ninja suit that bolstered sneak and had a sick scarf would be rad. But we also need the tantou and katana to go with it  (Extra points if you hold the tantou in reverse grip.)
