weapon mods too plentiful

anyone else find that once their character reaches lvl 30 EVERY f*#@ing enemy drops a "powerful automatic 10mm piercing silenced" or some other dumb equivalent. i just want enemies to drop normal guns again. i find it very immersion breaking that every single deadbeat and loser in the wasteland has a super pimped out gun. it makes no sense.

 

anybody planning on making a mod that makes the good weapon parts very rare?

I wouldn't call the majority of what I pick up to be pimped out. Most the weapons you come across are just a mishmash of modifications. I usually just sell them off or pass them along to settlers if it's an ammo type that I have extra for. You can also just strip them down and rebuild weapons as a basic type to keep the mods for your own use... Which I think was really their intention here. By means of this system they technically have a way to give the player unique or rare modifications as part of random loot. Not that they currently use it for this at the moment, but it is a perfectly viable option to be used in DLC, patches, or mods.

 

Given the presence of weapon workbenches at almost every place there is a warm body, having a large number of weapons with personal customizations makes perfect sense. Especially when you're talking about pipe weapons or other common gun types.
