Hexious
Can anyone mentor me or point me in the right direction? I would like to start getting involved in the Fallout 4 modding community, if someone could mentor me or give me some guides or something that would be amazing. I did some modding back in the Halo PC days but I was in high school and that was about 10 years ago and I haven't done much since. I want to mod textures initially but I would like to move on to some more advanced modding. So here are a couple of the main questions. What tools do I need? (I have the whole Adobe CC)What if any programming languages should I freshen up on?I don't do modeling really so are there plugins to convert models into importable formats for this game with 3ds or anything? dhrgusdlrns1
I think you should define your "advance modding".If you want complicated mod like quest mod, you can't make it now. I don't know well about re-texting mod. But there are lots of mod and modding guide about skyrim.I think you can learn from it if you can't find mentor. Hexious
I would like to get into more aspects of it really, advanced modding and whatnot will have to wait but I already see people doing things like re-texturing that I could jump into right away if I could find a guide or something. wistfane
to add to this topic any easy way once can adjust weapon damage and accuracy at this time. I just want to adjsut weapon performance to what I see fit and I used to do it with FNVedit before. Is it still possible not or do we have to wait for the geck? jet4571
Good place to start learning the basics. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/754151-tutorials-without-youtoob/ http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/522532-skyrim-tutorials/ More tutorials http://www.creationkit.com/Main_Page Allot of that will ofcourse not be the same for FO4, but the techniques and allot of it will be the same. Custom textures is covered in the second link.
