Warmaker01
The whole settlement aspect of the game is badly explained. Before I go and give Bethesda crap about poor documentation, I did bother to look if there was a manual for FO4. But there isn't. Annoying, especially considering this is a completely new element to the franchise for us. Not like we could refer to a past game that had the same gameplay element. Malikin
Anything stored in the workshop is available with supply lines. You have to set a provisioner at both settlements to make it a two way process. If you take the second Local Leader perk, the supply lines become Trade routes, without which stores do no trading. One other tip, plant extra crops to make vegetable starch, which is 5 adhesive. All the ingredients are produced by the settlements, you'll always have enough.Do we need to set a provisioner at both settlements? Has this been tested? Can we consolidate all resources to one settlement, and then have a net going out, where the furthest settlements are all supplied from one location. So if ALL of my steel is at sanctuary, and all the supply lines radiate out, will I need any that go back in?

None of them are missing any kind of resources even if they are not producing enough. But people keep complaining (i believe an oversight from the Devs), however no resources in in the red. So ts alright
Username0815
I have connected the settlements with one provisioner each in a strategic fashion, to minimize route length and potential danger, settlers do indeed complain sometimes but the happiness is okay, so I dont think it is nessecary to send 2 provisioners. Interresting detail is provisioners can die, when you are close and they have an encounter. So for the extreme routes I send companions, as they are essential, not to mention that they are all fully equiped. Definetly something to attend to later on, including guards, raids and associated quests, with checkpoints etc.
bladexdsl
i only use 1 provisioner connecting a set and it seems to work fine. Edited December 13, 2015 by bladexdsl
