tylerlamar2014
So I recently reinstalled NMM because I saw that it had an update and they put FO4 into their archives on the client. I connected the client to the game, and then I did the necessary edits to the Fallout 4's ini files as Nexus tells you to do here: http://www.nexusmods...t4/news/12645/? Which I did as seen here: http://forums.nexusmods.com/uploads//monthly_11_2015/post-12632571-0-60456400-1448138193_thumb.png After making the edits to the .ini's and then scanning for FO4 on the NMM client, I tried downloading some mods and when I go to activate them I get this notice: http://forums.nexusmods.com/uploads//monthly_11_2015/post-12632571-0-12797800-1448138239_thumb.png To remind you all, I have already made said edits and everything in my files match up exactly to what their wiki page says to do, but I still get the error. Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this? All I can think of is uninstalling then reinstalling the game and thats not something I plan on doing unless its my last resort. Thanks, Tyler

SharraShimada
First of all: make sure, the files are not read-only.Second: you have to edit the files in your profiles folder/my documents/games/fallout4. Some people have the same files in various folders (only Bethesda knows why...)

ImFrazle
I am on the brink of suicide - all I want to do is download a few mods, and similarly I have the same problem. I can only find the Fallout4.ini by searching it in the programs and files bar. I have made the necessary edits to both prefs.ini and the regular.ini (as seen in Gophers video) and still nothing. - I've checked that all the files are not read only
Tripwire4
I am also having the same issue. My documents library is located on my storage drive, so I tried copying the fallout 4 folder to the default location on the c:\ drive, but still have had no success.
