Signupsucks Posted November 22, 2015 Share Posted November 22, 2015 (edited) I have missing textures on some of the ghouls added by AWOP, appearing with the the red square and white exclamation point. The missing texture/mesh persists even when all equipment is removed, so I expect it has to do with the "base" model.The problem is I'm not really sure how to go about fixing it. FNVEdit doesn't show any conflicts or overrides regarding the base models (XX06F473, XX06F46F, XX0683CD, among at least one more) or in the meshses and textures they refer to (all of which are vanilla). I confirmed the error doesn't appear when playing with vanilla (+DLC +preorder bonuses) and AWOP alone by starting a fresh game with AWOP only activated, and using player.placeatme.I am using some texture swaps - some of the random characters definitely have "improved" heads/faces - but I'm not sure what mod is causing the problem, given no conflicts or overrides are shown. From what I can tell in diving FNVEdit, the only thing out of place is that the NPCs (compared to ghouls that don't have missing textures) don't have any hair or hair length defined. Everything else about them is more or less the same. But if that's what's causing the problem, I don't understand why they're fine in a solo install, nor do I know how to figure how what mod might be affecting the selection of hair mesh/texture when none is defined. My next step will be to painstakingly attempt to toggle each mod in sequence, starting new game, placeatme, etc, until the error appears. This will be a time consuming process (at least I have a save just prior to stepping out of Doc's house) and wouldn't even necessarily present a solution, but I'm hoping perhaps there is a known issue/conflict somewhere in my modlist. (I also have a missing mesh/texture problem with binoculars - from, I think, Mission Mojave - but I haven't done any troubleshooting regarding that.) Thanks in advance for any assistance. M48A5 Posted November 22, 2015 Share Posted November 22, 2015 (edited) You have quite a few conflicting compatibility patches. ie: WME-GRA-Just Guns.esp and WME-GRA-Complete.esp. Go through your load list, read what you have installed, disable and uninstall the conflicting patches. Also, with the mods that have multiple plugins, the plugins should be in the same order as the vanilla game. Those plugins were listed in NMM but weren't actually checked off/active, I just hadn't removed them from the list properly when I posted it. Regardless, I think I fixed the issue. There were a ton of compatability patches for MMUE that I missed, and in so doing I had also missed the MMUE installation instruction to make a change in fallout_default.ini. I didn't think to try it but I suspect that .ini change was actually all I needed to do, though of course having added all those compat patches may have done it too.. Really, I'm surprised I didn't run into any other problems considering I missed those. Unfortunately, having done so much of the game without those patches means I've gone and invalidated my saves by adding them in media res. Which, yeah, is totally my fault for not having read the instructions properly. So anyway, fixed now, sorry to have taken anyone's time with my being a dumby.
