Hello,

i have a question.

I build a metal house in Sancutary. I mean the house with the round metal walls and it looks like a tube. You know what i mean?

These metalwalls have some holes and i don't like this. So i will paint this textures, but i can't find this f... textures for the metalwall.

In the gamefolder are 7 Textures files and in which files are the rigtht textures?

I hope you have understand my broken english.

Hi Alexudo!

Your English is just fine.

Well, to find these texture you would be opening B.A.E., and then your best bet is to extract them into a folder. If you have your Explorer window in Windows set to Preview mode, you can actually see from the folder itself which metal textures have holes or not. It's a bit easier to distinguish them this way in my opinion. I was a little lazy however, and I extracted every single texture FO4 has onto my 4th HDD.

However if I'm not mistaken there may be a hole in the mesh as well. A simple re-texture is not going to fill that void (or it shouldn't, speaking from what I've worked with so far). If that's the case, then we are sadly going to have to wait on G.E.C.K. to come out Summer 2016.

I'll see if I can find what you're talking about though, and I hope I'm wrong about not being able to patch it.

Really depends on what holes you mean, absolute huge gaps are modeled, can't change that atm. But smaller holes around the size of a bullet (and chikenwire ) are usually Alpha's.

If all else fails look up the 'togglecollision' trick on Youtube, going into the console and doing TCL while building has its advantages like layering walls.

There is already a simple retexture mod removing most of the holes in walls:

Hy,

it's no good job, to watch all files.

So i will take http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1934/? this.

The next Problem i have, is to take this (or these?) files into the game. My Modmanager said: "Check the strukture". I open the Folder and take a look on my Screen and said: "Ok, install it."

The Modmanager will not hear me. :geek:

How can i take this mod into the game?

Greeting from Essen

Udo
