Scartaki
Hi,I finally started playing Oblivion again, but when I left the sewers I noticed the ground wasn't green, but everywhere it was purple and it seemed like the ground was made of the imperial city map. Each m2 is one imperial city map, purple colored. Anyone has an idea what makes this happen or knows what to do? Thanks
ninja_lord666
I guess you'll never get lost ;D ...that was a dumb joke... It's probably a missing texture. You may need to re-install the game if you no longer have that texture. However, I'm no expert, so wait until more people answer before spending all that time reinstalling. Scartaki
HAha, never mind anymore, it was a mod, thanks anyways though =)

Abramul
This seems to be a somewhat common problem. What mod caused it?
Switch
Hmm... that's strange, it's definitely not a mod with me. I've got the same thing now... I couldn't patch to 1.2 for some reason, it kept giving me an error message, so I reinstalled, patched to 1.1, and then to 1.2... same warning message, except it seemed to say 1.2 at the bottom left of the main screen so I assume it patched successfully regardless? However, now whenever I go in-game, purple maps are everywhere... o.O no texture mods or anything, this is a clean install, I even got rid of my Data folder before installing. maceiver
Sorry for the slight necro on this thread, but this is a quite rampant glitch with the 1.2 patch. I have had this as well and fortunately kept backups. I found threads addressing this issue and made note of them in this thread, which seems to have the same problem you mention. [Edit]: Although if you deleted and reinstalled everything as you say Switch, the files should have the correct filedates and the patch should work. Weird. Switch
For me, it actually turned out to be a corrupted textures BSA as I tried to install the US version of the game and mine is UK. Which is kind of embarassing. :P The patch said English you see so I assumed that included UK... but it doesn't, there's a separate patch for UK, you just have to make sure you read the small print before downloading, which apparently I didn't. ^^;
