Ryouga
... So I used the Arrow of Extrication to shift the statue, and expose the door to the barracks. But when I go to open it, I get a message saying that I need a key (a key I was under the impression that I had gotten from the Grey Fox already). I know people have been having trouble with this door due to backtracking or after serving time and trying to get in again, but in my case, I couldn't get in even once. So, my question is: is this broken? Do I really need to start the whole damn thing over again? Hell, by now, I would be satisfied with an item code for the damn key, but I can't even find that (I'm not sure what the key is called).

The "...Needs a Key" tag applied to doors is sometimes used in the game to simply deny you access to an area until you satisfy some quest requirements. The "key" to Gutted Mine, for instance, doesn't actually manifest itself in-game: the door is simply unlocked when you begin the Azura Shrine quest. I think you need to the console command to set yourself at the proper quest stage of the Ultimate Heist. Hopefully, the door will "unlock" then. ninja_lord666
Key? I didn't know there was a key. I got in just fine; so, if there is, I guess I had it. If you really can't get in because of a locked door that shouldn't be locked, or you should have the key, just use ~ to open up the command console, click on the door, and type unlock. That'll get it open.
Ryouga
Yeah, I finally broke down and replayed the entire mission. This time everything worked fine... apparently I'd managed to get through a number of "quest checkpoints" so to speak, without receiving those small status updates in the quest-log. By the time I'd gotten to the Hall of Epochs, it had all gone to hell...
Rhydderch Hael
Aye, if it were any other quest, I'd simply suggest you start over from an earlier save. however, the Ultimate Heist is a long affair that's not easy to pace or disengage from.
