UI Texture Mods not working

Hi,

I have added a few mods for textures, ground and things like that. The only instructions for manual is to put them into the data folder which I have done. I modded the ini files as well. Yet none of the texture mods are working. Other types of mods are working just fine.

My Fallout4.ini file has this "sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\ MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\"

and my Fallout4Prefs.ini has this "bEnableFileSelection=1" under Launcher.

Any ideas why they aren't working? An example, Vivid Fallout is one of the textures I am trying to get to work.

This is a really stupid question so please don't be offended..but your actual ini

those lines you added do they have the " " in them? The quotation marks?

I am having the exact same problem, hoping for a suggestion for a fix or even an outright solution, lol

Installed a standalone armor mod, show up in game just fine til I try to equip it, invisible body due to missing texture.

Body texture replacer just doesn't replace

etc

Edit: ok, while digging some more, I found my problem, the entry in my .ini for

sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\

had a - in front of it, probably from a copy-past mistake of mine. Removed the minus, all problems gone so far. Hope this helps

All

I am having the same issue and have followed mentioned above. I have made all the changes to the .ini and have downloaded the MOD's and installed through the NMM. The files are in all the right places. Most of the mods work such as sound and the targeting hud. But for some reason the textures or skins MOD' s junst wont work.......

any suggestions?

I think I found something? I am experiencing similar issues, and I just saw this in the Planter mod:

If you are using the beta update version of Fallout 4 then all your mods will get disabled, and the data file manager won't open up either. If you still want to use mods on the beta version, you can use either one of these methods:

MANUAL PLUGIN.TXT ENTRY:

  • Locate your plugins.txt file in your AppData/Local/Fallout4 folder

The AppData folder can be found in LocalDisk(C:)/Users/[YourUsername]/AppData Folders”
Add the name of the esp (including the .esp part) at the bottom of that txt, save it and then set it to read only.

NEXUS MOD MANAGER:
Start the game-launcher, THEN start the NMM and enable all the plugins. Then press start in the FO4 Launcher. It should work, but you will have to repeat this every time you want to play FO4 for now.

Just about to test this, but wanted to share first.
