ScottyDoesKnow
Does anyone know if it's possible to create an armor mod that adds to or changes the model of the armor? Basically anything that will result in you being able to change it at an armor crafting table. I know it's possible, because there's a model difference between raider standard and raider buttressed right leg, but I can't seem to find anything related to material that has a model entry. Not until Nifskope allows importing of models and a plugin is made for blender, 3ds max, or cinema 4d Edit: Did you mean replace an armors model with one that already exists in the game? Yup, already existing ones are fine. I can see the game already does it with some armor material upgrades, I just can't figure out where the models are defined. Deleted2948850User
The part references are defined in the Armor forms, the actual models are defined in the Armor Addon formsand the workbench mod models are defined in the Modification forms. Hope this helps. Edited November 29, 2015 by Guest
invalidfate
Surely, by hex editor like 010 editor, you can do whatever you want. http://i1037.photobucket.com/albums/a454/bloodiron/Fallout4%202015-11-29%2004-16-30_zpsnwggiwhn.jpg http://i1037.photobucket.com/albums/a454/bloodiron/Fallout4%202015-11-28%2005-37-30_zpszqeizg6z.jpg http://i1037.photobucket.com/albums/a454/bloodiron/2015-11-21_00023_zpssrjg7e8e.jpg

Hope this helps. Ya, I've seen all that, I just can't figure out exactly what it's doing. The raider leg model will change when upgraded from standard to buttressed, but there's no model listed in the Modifications/OMODs for the raider leg. Armor mod has a model listed for light, medium, heavy. But it seems there are different models just for one type based on material. Surely, by hex editor like 010 editor, you can do whatever you want. Ya, the issue is figuring out where to reference the models so that armor bench changes translate to model changes. Edit: and thanks for the responses all, no idea is a bad one since I'm new to this and may be missing something simple.
