PsyckoSama
This is meant to be a place for people to dicuss the mods they think should be at the front of the list once the GECK is released. Here's my thoughts. 1) Spouce Companion: Having the spoce with you would be an interesting thing and could make for a pretty amusing companion. Easy way to do it would just have Kellogg not risk shooting at the valuable baby and just club 'em. Or considering how many bullets it takes to kill someone in this game have it just be a flesh wound. 2) Multiple Companions: This one is a must, and another example of how much Bethesda just didn't GET IT when making this game. Simple way to ballence it. Companion limit = Cha/2. Would actually make it useful beyond building your settlements... :p 3) New Vegas style Survival: I cannot believe they left this out. Survival mode they call it? Bah! 4) Freedom of Action Restoration: Fallout 1/2/NV and even 3 had tons of freedom of action. Your deeds explained who you are. In FO4 you get to play Paragon and Rude Paragon. Karma! Reputation! BRING IT BACK! I'd really like a chance to be an asshole again. 5) Weapons Restoiration: There were lots and lots and lots and... you get the drift... weapons in the previous games. Many of which were multiple guns that did the same thing. Now we just have 1000 forms of a maybe a dozen guns, most of which are gimmick weapons you find later in the game. Being able to have actual options again would be really nice. Spice of life and all that. What do you guys think?
Hailren
Some good Ideas you have, would be nice to see them implemented! Anyways, here are some suggestions I would make for mods to be made. 1) Better Settlement Build mode: overhaul mod that gives a free camera when in build mode, no clipping when trying to place an item for more free will, and a settler/Npc spawner so your villagers wont spawn on top of houses. Hey I like building settlements... I know not everyone loves this part of the game but its there so why not make the most of it. 2) More Hair: More options for male and female with physics. 3) Gundum Armor: I know this one is kinda cheezy but I think a overhaul of the power armor to look and act like a Gundum suit but keep the cool equipping animation would be awesome. djangoku
Hello. This is what i was missing in vanilla: - List of all visited locations- "Completed" tag for every location (maybe take the "noteable loot from wiki for criteria")- explorer perk like in FO3 and NV- increase construction sites ground and hight- plain ground in settlements- rename settlers after their job (automatically)- auto enlist settlers to all open jobs (shops, food, defense, artillerie, etc.)- settlers shouldnt spawn at one point if fast-travelling to a settlement- mute companions that are not with the player, or decrease the amount of comments- track bobbleheads (one by one?)- track the magazines (per categorie? one by one?)- fusion core, use lowest first, and/or combine x of them to 1 fully loaded- fix weapon change bug Hope some of these things will make it into mods. Basil456
Love the ideas you guys have.Mine are 1) Handman, custom animated, big daddy power armor's and weapons (the rivet gun and drill arm). 2) Custom made (by player) weapon, armor/outfits and power armor paint jobs. 3) Extended customization for players. 4) Weapon change glitch fix. SirTwist
Here's what I would like to see: 1) when in build mode for settlements, the world suddenly changes to colors. This would be where to plant food, and water pumps (when there isn't a handy river nearby to suck water from.) To where you can build houses, etc. a) While in build mode, suck up all the trash, leaves, bushes, vines, and trees, and put it where it should be. Either by doing it in the first place, or just get close enough it does it automatically. b) scrapped houses that are lying around, like in Sanctuary Hills when you first come out of Vault 111, should be "scrapped", cleaned up, and able to be replaced, all nice and neat like.2) Prefab, both wood and metal shacks, should not look like garbage, rather look fairly decent. a) If you prefer to build, then either one of two things happens, or even both. i) Foundations, floors, walls, etc. snap together when close. ii) When laying down foundation, or putting up walls, ceilings, roofs, designate an area of whatever size you want, and it does it all for you. b) The roofs should not leak, period. Walls should hold up to most things. Floors/foundations should be thought of as impenetrable.3) Actual armor like FO3 and FNV. Not armor pieces. Of course, the pieces can be added to the armor itself, and help out with things. a) the armor itself has a base for ballistic, energy, and even radiation protection. The armor can have overlays that can add to DR for ballistics, energy, and rad.The underlays could do different things like what's already in the vanilla game. Having even one that encompasses everything. b) The armor pieces adds even more of everything.4) More than one companion at a time. I know everyone wants more than one companion at once, so I thought to add my voice to that.5) Pipboy Readius. I have a few more things, I will add later. coffeebum
Good idea for a thread, guess I will contribute some ideas. 1. Settlement recruitment size (population expansion) and depopulation (reducing the population for a given settlement)I would like the option to control the number of settlers in towns, possibly a slider with a minimum and maximum size of population. Some areas (Sanctuary for one) could easily support dozens of people, with enough food and water for all.Other areas may be better off with ten or less settlers, and they would be easier to manage. 2. Settlement emergency protocols. This one is tricky, and I will try to explain. When a settlement is under attack in the vanilla game there is a lot of running around and getting in the way of the defenses.Perhaps it would be better to adopt a defensive stance, and hunker down behind the turrents.Maybe an "agression" setting on the settlers would be enough. Set the guards high and the farmers/shopkeeper low.Perhaps assigned emergency positions would work. When an alarm goes off the population would go behind cover, and fire on attackers from there.Like I said, tricky. Not being a modder I have no idea what this would involve, may not be possible. Lupercal269
I would like to be able to have my weapon be placed on either my back or hip when stowed like it was in fallout 3 and NV i would like to be able to change nicks outfits. i would like the player to have a get-out-of-bed animation like your companion does after you get the "lovers embrace" perk i would like versions of the atom cats paint job to be available for all power armour types i would like a mod that makes it so that the gattling gun (both types) start spinning up when your aiming down the sights and then you can fire right away at any time as long as your still aiming. i would like to be able to equip any type of weapon to strong i would like a mod changing the look of the heavier types of synth armour ( i love the regular type but i think the sturdy and heavy versions looks really silly, i think it would look really good with the collar it already has but then a modified chest part that has like more deffinition, such as stylized pectorals, or separated armour slats or something along those lines) i would like to be able to choose what grade of armour to make when using one of the armour crafting mods. djangoku
I wonder if it is possible to "dig a hole in the ground" with a ladder or something going down, an put a "fitting" at the bottom, where player can start to build his own vault. And btw make Vault-Items available for building. griffinzero000
An idea I would do myself if I would know how to make my own mods. But atleast here I can write my own idea down, so someone else can make something about it. My idea is to implement shields into the game. They then can be used with pistols, unarmed and fast or small mellee weapons, like knives, wrenches and swords. Bigger Weapons like plankes or Superhammer are more like two handed weapons. When you use aim or block (right mous button) you will then do a shield smash with your strong attack like in skyrim. The shield smash could be increased by some shield modifiers. Or you could use a weapon mount modifier to have a better accuracy and less recoil with pistols, or the normal armor modifier hardened or light construction etc. The shields can be in three different levels and all in different designs, f.e. raider, combat, synth. The smallest ones are bucklers. They weight only ~2 units, but also only adds bonus protections for arms. Nice thing when you don´t want to invest to much into carry weight, because of agility perks. The medium ones are shields, weight ~15 but also protect your chest. The largest ones are tower shields, weight ~25 can protect arms, chest and head. Combined with the highest tier of the perk rooted it could offer you the ability to ram the shield into the ground when aiming or blocking. This would give you a cover element from all attacks in front of you when you don´t move.
