RextheRobot
I'm trying to add a conjurable scythe. In the mod request thread a user suggested i simply swap the battleaxe for a scythe texture. Could anybody give me tips on how to do this? I am a complete noob but feel like this might be easy enough to do. I just need to know how to change a the battleaxe to a different texture, and how to do that with a modded weapon. Was wanting to use the scythes from the "Classic Scythes" mod. Novem99
I am sorry but I didn't get exactly what you are planning. Is it about textures or models? Or something different? i simply swap the battleaxe for a scythe texture. A battleaxe has a totally different 3d model so I don't see how this could work. I just need to know how to change a the battleaxe to a different texture So you wanna do a retexture of the standard battleaxe? Was wanting to use the scythes from the "Classic Scythes" mod. Or do you wanna just give these scythes an enchantment? ???
RextheRobot
oh sorry I guess my vocab was way off lol. Like I said I am very much a noob. I want to be able to conjure a scythe, and i was thinking that to do that I would replace the bound battle axe, so that the spell "Bound Battleaxe" instead conjures a bound scythe. Can this all be done within CK or would I need something like blender or nifskope?
Novem99
No. You just need the CK for doing that. You only have to edit the assignment of the 1stperson and world model and link it to the scyth. Then edit the weapon record a little bit and you are done. But you don't have to replace the original Battleaxe. You can copy all the entries and edit it for the scythe. Come back if you have problems and need further instructions.

Novem99
You are in the wrong section. You must go to weapons in the item section: http://fs5.directupload.net/images/151202/ykd2dcnv.jpg Then go to the model box and click on edit. Then link to the scyth and your are almost there. RextheRobot
Ok, I've got the model set as the scythe. Do I also need to edit the 1st Person Model Object? I wasn't able to find any entries relating to the scythe in the drop down menu. Also, once everything is done do I just need to hit file>save and then in game "bound battleaxe"will conjure the scythe? or are there some additional steps to make it work in game? Novem99
Hm...I am not so familiar with bounding weapons...obviously it is not necessary to add a 1stperson model for them. Yes. just hit save and it should work if you did everything correct.
RextheRobot
It's working! Only a small issue with the flaming battle axe outline remaining on top of the scythe, but hopefully i can figure that out lol. thanks so much for your guidance and patience!
