cyberhoundMkII
Since Fallout 4 has this new crafting feature, where every weapon is modular, how will it affect workflow in new weapon making? Should I desing my weapon models to be modular? Do you think it will be worth it, to make single model weapons that can't be upgraded, or will the top modders make everything modular to fit current gameplay, and making anything simple won't draw attention? It seems like a lot of additional work would be required to make a decent weapon, since not only you have to think in modules and actually try to make those wierd scifi pieces represent a function of a weapon, but also it would be required to make at least few additional parts, so that the weapon can be upgraded. You think that is how modding will look like now? Edited December 3, 2015 by cyberhoundMkII
Lisnpuppy
Well...I suppose everyone will have an opinion. And what you will be able to do depends largely on what the tools will let you do. But based on the past Fallout 3 and FNV many folks wanted to be able to upgrade their weapons that modders made. I don't think you would have to make something for every option. Even the guns on the vanilla game don't have every option at times. I think it would be worth it, if possible. Ultimately a modder makes things they enjoy and are nice enough to share. So do what makes YOU happy. All the rest is cake. :)
