Drazhar753
Hey all I saw a few requests asking to make the gas masks and the like have the same or similar voice filter to that of the power suit, so I decided to give it a shot. However after tinkering with it, I haven't been able to figure it out. I immediately compared a regular helmet to the power armour helmet, but didn't see anything obvious. Tried adding some of the keywords to a gas mask, but didn't achieve much through doing so, apart from one that then treated the gas mask as a piece of power armour (couldnt equip it without being in a exoskeleton). Beyond that I am not all that sure how or if it's possible in FO4Edit, only other thing I found so far was under "Audio Effect Chain" stated as "AudioEffectChainPowerArmorHelmet" But not too sure how that correlates. I have done a lot in the CK for skyrim but not much in TESVEdit, so forgive me if I've missed something obvious. Thanks!

Thanks!I dont have it in front of me, but if I remember correctly from FNV, there is a line item called "modulates voice" or something similar. You just have to enable it. They might have changed it since then, but that is what I recall.
Drazhar753
Thanks Thom, but I don't see it under the power armour helmets, so they must've changed it? After looking further into it and testing some things. The ArmorTypePower keyword seems to be what causes it, however this keyword also prevents you from wearing the item without being in power armour. So I'm guessing it checks for this keyword, and could also check for whether or not you're in the exoskeleton, and then whether or not you have a helmet before the voice is modified. I am unsure how to really change this in FO4Edit.Wish it was simpler like in FONV, you'd think they'd have done this anyway. rosso1895
Hi, I´m not a modder, so bear with me, plz :blush:But I know a bit about sound engineering and the power armor helmet voice in game is nothing more than a high pass filter over the normal voice. there are some mods out here that lowers or pitches the characters voice, so if that´s possible, it might be possible to just lay a high pass filter over the voice. Free programms like audacity can do that.
Blip542
It's a neat idea, but a bit convoluted to do all of that when there's surely a flag somewhere in the game files. I'm trying to get this muffled voice sorted out and also add the rain vfx to first person when wearing a gas mask.
Drazhar753
It's a neat idea, but a bit convoluted to do all of that when there's surely a flag somewhere in the game files. I'm trying to get this muffled voice sorted out and also add the rain vfx to first person when wearing a gas mask. Hey there I haven't figured it out yet, got fed up with it. But through tinkering I was able to get the filter when wearing any headgear, but only if you were in a frame already. And the headgear needed both 'ArmorTypePower' keyword and in the 'APPR - Keywords' section; ap_PowerArmor_HeadMod. So through thinking that these keywords were the 'key' I tried force equipping - without the frame - both my headpiece, and even just a regular power armor helm to my character ingame but no filter was applied. So I looked at the frames instead and saw that under furniture that there's two types of each frame. For example "PowerArmorFurnitureT51" and "PowerArmorFurnitureT51_NoHelm" So I looked for the differences and the only difference was the lack of the aforementioned ap_PowerArmor_HeadMod keyword. So I looked up that keyword but couldn't really figure it out from there. Also tried applying the "AudioEffectChainPowerArmorHelmet" to spell effects and then adding them to the headgear, but didn't have a whole lot of success. So yeah, hopefully someone can gain something through my trial and error, because I am out of ideas at the minute... though I have a nagging sensation that I completely overlooked something obvious that's going to cause me to :nuke:

Honestly, I'd prefer to just have it regardless of wearing outfits/PA. Can someone do that? Please and thanks!!
