Ridding Settlements of Present Corpses

Tonight while talking with my friends I managed to think up a pretty interesting mod idea.

This would be similar to the mod made for Skyrim in which you could clean up the dead bodies around the map however this one would be a little different.

Of course with the settlement crafting and the ability to 'scrap' items I was able to think up this interesting yet somewhat disturbing idea.

One of the main complaints I hear from my friends with Fallout 4 is the fact that there are almost always dead bodies in the settlements, if you try to drag the body out, it only respawns where it was.

My idea was to allow the player to remove the bodies by 'scrapping' them.

Now this mod alone allowing you to remove the corpses without any gain would be really great. However if there were a way to scrap the body and have an item gain from it, that would also be really neat.

As for items you could gain from the scrapped bodies I would suggest the following:

Freshly dead Humans/Super Mutants: Leather, Bone, and Blood Bag (in any amount, I would say some reasonable amount that would be similar to those contained in a human body, might require more research if you really want to go into crazy accuracy)

Ghouls/Feral Ghouls: Leather, Bone, Radiated Blood.

Bone Bodies: Bone, maybe cloth if they are wearing clothes since you can't remove them.

Honestly I personally am not able to mod, however I thought this idea would best be left in more capable hands. So if anyone is interested in making this mod please let me know, I would love to see it become a thing if it's possible that is.

if i'm not wrong, bodies of animal and enemy will disappear after 3 4 days ingame time.. I had Raiders, and Gunners attacked my settlement and their body disappear after a while..

There are certain bodies that won't disappear for me and my friends. Mainly bodies of Feral Ghouls that you kill upon taking the settlement. So I figured, why not give them a use? I mean Skyrim has a mod for the dead, why not give Fallout 4 one too? I'm not saying this mod is really something that's necessary, just an idea that would be really interesting to see put into motion.

I would change to a mod that lots you "scrap" ALL corpses.. like modify the cannibal perk to let you do it -lore wise-

why do i asking for this change? well "story" npcs that die will usually NEVER despawn, this includes:

the first corpse of an adventurer and the dog just outside sanctuary (i have thrown a nuke to blow all body pieces and at cell reset they are back with brand new loot like nothing happen)

the cannon fodder minutemen that "help" you retake the castle but if they die either friendly fire or killed by a baby lurk or even survive up to the queen their corpses are permanent there, i have gone through several days or even a week (iRL) without visiting the castle and the corpses are still on the spot they died.

some take a LONGER time to reset but this are just the ones i have had patience to see other corpse that are trying to clog my landscape i end up 'disable'-ing them with the console command, and yes the corpse do despawn even if you visit the cell they are in.

the single corpse of the minutemen in concord that you are told to take the musket from will despawn after a long time, with or without you visiting the zone, i know cause i went through several cell reset until the area did a full mayor reset, removing all the corpses and unfortunately blocking the access to the door that the deathclaw uncovers. however the cells for the musket are marked as items from concord not of the corpse nor the story, so they will keep appearing on each reset, like all other items or containers.

Just a hint, if you guys are really annoyed with the corpses and just want it to disappear you can use the "disable" console command. I do this way back on FO 3

Disable just hides the bodies, I think a better way would be the markfordelete console command.
