Username0815
The main problem for the fallout 4 story is the conflict between narative and open world +the big we have to satisfy the whole audience syndrome +throw in some old ghoul meat, to lower the costs. The great ME Series is driven by a clear narative, while Fallout and the TES Series are about the freedom of choice. Fallout 4 took over some aspects of ME that is evident since the first trailer, however at some point, they did not continue this path. The main story has great potential, I really like the idea of coming out of the box "the man out of time" trying to set things straight. But the story is inconsistent from its very start and lacks alot of details like proper reaction of companions, npcs and decessions most of the time. And dont get me started about shawn, that felt like the starchild in ME3, however there was and is a solution to it: MODS. While I was happy to have the happy ending mod in ME3, which set things the way they should have been, fallout has practically no limits to modding compared to ME3, therefor I have faith in the many people, who will play their part to make things happen ;)
BadReplicant
The character would've instantly felt better if he was at a military base (no mention of family). The military program is all about vault-tec cryogenetics. He volunteers as a test subject(or is forced), falling asleep well before the bombs fell. Wakes up, suddenly everyone's dead and Boston is in ruins. Much more appropriate setup for a role playing game. Pretty much anything is better.
