ijc1927
Hi, I have just downloaded the full OMOD version of Qarls amazing texture pack3, ive loaded it into OBMM and ran a conflicts report. It came back telling me that it majorly conflicts with every single mesh and texture in the unofficial oblivion patc, it also shows up red in OBMM due to this. My question is can i still run it, and do i just overwrite everything that it asks me to?? I realy want to run this mod but only if its safe to do so. Thanks
Xantesh
I run both without any texture or mesh problems. The only "bad" thing about installing QTP after UOP is, I guess, that QTP overrides the meshes that are fixed with UOP. Consider installing QTP first. Hickory
Do not take any notice of OBMM's conflict detector. At best it is a tool for inducing headaches. The nature of Oblivion mods is that they DO conflict, and the nature of a texture overhaul like Quarls is that it MASSIVELY conflicts. Why? Because it is a replacer. It replaces vanilla textures. Install it, preferably early on in your installation order.
ijc1927
Thanks guys, But would you reccomend uninstalling the patch and installing qarls first, or just install it over the patch, im thinking it could be quite critical which way i do it? Hickory
As a rule of thumb, always install UOP first after any official patches. If you install QTP before the UOP some of Quarls will be written off by the UOP with ugly results. The UOP is just one of those things that should be installed first and Quarls will not break anything.
ijc1927
Thanks ever so much Hickory, think i will install BC as well, i know i will get a hit on FPS but it looks totally worth it. Ive had a look for other texture packs that arent maybe as big as qarls but cant really find any, is his the best thats available?
Hickory
There is another version called 'redimized' (reduced and optimized), which is slightly lower quality, but still far superior to vanilla. And another called 'redimized reduced'.
