Having a problem with MCA and COV

What did you do to solve the problem with the "Item "_MCA_COV_noble_boots" not found" problem? I have the same issue when trying to add "Morrowind Comes Alive" to my new game. That plus the mouse pointer disappears when the MCA script starts.

 

Edit later:

 

Finally gave up on MCA because of all the missing meshes but I did get the mouse pointer back by opening up the console.

MCA 8.2 merged plugins. For me MCA.esm, MCA - COV Addon.esp, MCA - Westly's FCOT Addon.esp, Westly_Presents_FCOT.esp works very well.

 

On a side note, have you also had problems with unclickable redguard males like Hinald, Irgola, Kaye and Trasteve?

No, I had to give up on MCA because of all the mesh problems. I never actually had it running. I redid my setup using the guide from "Lif with Ink and Pixels" and stayed away from the MGSO Overhaul guide. Not a single error when doing the Distant Land Generator (I think I used a size of 16384), unlike the MGSO installation and I've seen the FPS run at a steady 80-120. The only problems occurred when I added some of my other essential mods. Right now, I can't figure out a missing mesh problem in Arkngthand. I've searched through the archives of every mod I installed with Mash and cannot find any clues to "meshes\m\misc_dwrv_ARK_cube00.nif tex not found" in war_dwrv_electricity00.bmp through *009.bmp.

 

If I solve that, I might give MCA another go, as the Morrowind landscape is pretty sparse with people. I haven't used MASH yet for any levelled lists or merged plugins. I wanted to make sure everything worked before I did that.

I did find out why I was getting the missing mesh problem. Somehow the Morrowind installation or update process changed the letter 'a' in 'misc_dwrv_ark_cube00.nif' to 'misc_dwrv_Ark_cube00.nif'. I don't know why it was case-sensitive but it seemed to be. I used a BSA extractor program to find the correct nif in Morrowind.bsa, copied it to the right meshes folder and the error disappeared. I thought that the mesh was actually not in my Morrowind directory because Win 10 said it wasn't there when I searched but maybe I made a typo.

 

So I tried to use MCA again but mlox gave it a no-go due to my other mods. And when I made mlox happy, a Morrowind load threw a mess of missing scripts and mesh errors. So it's gone from my mod list.
