UhuruNUru
My current signature is restricted to the size designated for images, even though it's just Text.As you will see, under this post, much of the available horizontal space is entirely wasted. While I understand the need to limit the available vertical space for text in the signature, the waste of the available line length, makes no sense. My original signature used all the lines length, until I was forced to reduce it, by a moderator and this isn't complaining about the moderator enforcing the rules, I have no complaints, about the moderator.I do have a complaint about the rule though, it makes no sense, to restrict the length of the line. The available length should be that limitation, with height as images being acceptable. My sig is giving useful information and links to other users, this is the current version I use elsewhere and would like to use here as well, customised for the Forum layout of Nexus. BOSS is dead, Long Live LOOT, Use itBOSS tried it's very best to Sort Mods, LOOT never ever tries it just does it. With LOOT Mods are to put it simply, sorted. So to simply sort your modded game, LOOT It. The Load Order is sorted correctly by LOOT (or BOSS) if the Game Loads. No other criteria is or has ever been requred, this doesn't make it the perfect Load Order for You.You must decide which Plugins win all conflicts, these are Choices, even if a Mod requires winning a conflict to work correctly. LOOT can't choose for you in most cases. Only 300 or so of the over 100,000 Skyrim mods have enforced Load Order instructions, to fix their position. Most plugins that conflict, are deliberate conflicts, the user has intentionally chosen.LOOT's User Editing function enforces these choices automatically, once the user has set them in LOOT. Only when these are set, will the Load Order be perfect, for the Mods you chose to use.I'd prefer slightly more space vertically and would like to use bigger text, but this is the default text size of Nexus Forums Editor, so I've stuck to that and filled the lines to keep the vertical size as small as possible. So Is this acceptable for text only sigs and if not, why can't that rule be changed?
JimboUK
Can you imagine a thread full of posts from people with signatures that big?
Oubliette
I've always prefered longer sigs than wider ones. More often than not even the most verbose poster isn't going to make a post that's going to be wider than their sig in any average conversation and I absolutely hate when the sig is bigger than the post :pinch: That goes for plain text sigs as well as images, either way it's easy to mistake the signature as the post when it's that big and if you're scrolling quickly. So I'm ok with the concept of cutting the original signature width in half and adding that extra space to the length instead. Though I imagine any change will be quite the annoyance to those who bothered to learn and follow the original rules.
Thandal
And I prefer wider to longer... But I prefer shorter to either!
