A true Dual wielding mod Please read, good modders!

Hello everyone.

 

Since my favourite character style uses to be a rouge/thievy guy sneaking around with two daggers, fighting style focused on speed and dual wielding I'd like a TRUE dual wielding mod.

I've played with evantal's DW mod for a while and im sick and tired of not inflicting some serious rapid damage combos with two daggers, (I think everyone who have played Evantal's know what it's like just blocking with the off-hand weapon.

 

Please, if any good modder reads this, please make a true dual wielding mod!

Since i do not mod myself ( I tried o_O ) I dont know how hard it would be but i suppose it would be pretty complicated, or like any other problem, there's a simple solvation.

 

I'm writing this as a prayer to the mod-gods. "Please guide us through the darkness in dual wielding researching, and bring us a nice dual wield mod heightening the gameplay and feeling allover cyrodiil."

 

Well, that's what i wanted to say, please write with own thoughts and ideas and hopefully someone will pick this project up ^^;

I don't think the mod Number Thirteen linked to has 'true' dual wielding.

 

I'm not going to say it's impossible, since we also said new animations and mounted combat was impossible. But it is very unlikely it is possible.

 

But you could use Deadly Reflex, which allows you to do shield bash at any time. That sort of looks like an offhand attack, even if it doesn't do any damage.

Well in all actuality Dual wielding is more so meant 2 swords (or 2 of any type of 1 handed weapons) that you can do normal attacks with both and have the same functionality as a main hand, and to answer your question, i am sure in time people will make a TRUE dual wielding mod, it would just require a COMPLETE re-wright of oblivions combat mainframe, and unfortunately that is something that will take a LONG LONG LONG time

Yeah I've played with deadly reflex but that just isnt oblivion, all fighters flipping around like this is some kind of circus, slow motion attacks dont belong in oblivion either. but when I think about a true dual wielding mod i think like inflict damage with both weapons, charge a power attack while blocking with the other or a duo-power attack without blocking, this would give some nice tactics and style from player to player.

But like alredy mentioned, this will take time since it would be a major change in the oblivion fight system...

Too bad, Bethesda should've thought of this :P
