Is there a game mechanic or a mod that would allow me to see whether settlers are assigned or not?

I have a hard time selecting settlers to a work when I don't have a god's eye view to tell which settler is working or not, and the highlighting when hovering over a settler doesn't really work when your field of vision is limited and settlers barely look different from each other.

 

 

Am I missing a function in the game, or is there a mod to make my settlement running more smoothly?

My advice would be to go rob the Gunners and steal their Army Clothes and armor, equip it to people as they are assigned jobs, and then keep track of who has a job by what they are wearing.

Thats a good tip Denton! Ill be doing this in the meantime

 

But it d be great to have to mod, i mean maybe highlighting those who are already assigned.

James, give them raiders armors! Plenty to find pretty much anywhere.

Im level 60+ and now they all spawn with combat armors so its very abundant.
