BlindLookout
This is a weird one, and just started happening (either that or I haven't explored much in this area until now.) If you go NW from The Slog, or East from the General Atomics Galleria until you hit the lake, right around when you approach the water I'm getting a CTD. I can't be more precise than this because I'm getting that CTD in that whole area. I've played many many hours so far, can do other things, just that area for some reason is crashing for me. Tried with NO mods enabled btw, no change. Tried with multiple characters. I'm curious enough that I'm actually going to start a new game, but anybody have any ideas? simondent2
Hi I have been getting ctd's in and around and Whiterun Skyrim couldn't figure it out so I checked windows reports found out ctd's caused by BC117 error know as blue screen of death so I check my hhd drive it needed optimizing so did that run better stopped the ctd's , BC117 error is caused by the graphic card , I am running at the moment GT610 nvidia 2g to which I am getting new card 4g very so i can run fallout 4, windows reports this has a driver error even though I updated to the lastest driver . Other CTD's I have had are from windows updates virus checkers , sound faults due to my hard drive that needed defragging . Windows updatesI turned off but seem very persistent in download all by them selves , I have also been getting a lot of purple items that seem to move around whiterun dont get it anyware else just Whitrun , I think it might have something to do with RS children so I have just come out of the game removed RS to see if that works . Some time its not the game thats causing ctd's if you think about loading and uninstalling so many mods can mess up your hhd Hard drive making your game run slower, you should beable to tell if your harddrive light led is stuggling . other ctd's can be caused by your internet connection via steam if connection is lost this can lock up your game I tested this by running with out any internet connection that time it proved this was the fault other Ctd caused by inset removable media when windows whats you to do a back up . Hope some of this helps .
BlindLookout
UPDATE: Started a new game, managed to run the character all the way over to the new lake, crashing at the SAME INTERSECTION every time. Tried both with and without mods. Also... my graphics driver? I don't think what I'm experiencing is reflected by that...
BlindLookout
Tried verifying cache, it found 2 files that needed to be redownloaded, but the error continues.
Bleazo
Hey, look into my thread! I got exactly the same problem.I found out its because of the .ini files. If you use the old .ini files (before patch 1.2), without Fallout4Custom.ini , your game shouldn't crash anymore. But i want to use my ~20 mods i already installed  Atleast i am not the only one with this problem :/ EDIT : Reply to: Started a new game, managed to run the character all the way over to the new lake, crashing at the SAME INTERSECTION every time.
