larsi_899
what about the GOOD things in oblivionwhat do you think made it so great? I think the Construction set made it pretty cool, alowing us fans tomake our own, character and houses and quest and so onand the Graphics is good, and the sun set they made life lookingGuilds are fun to play for, makes you have something to doat least for a while. Povuholo
Let's see... The better quality graphics. The graphics themselves, well... I'd rather have something more alien, and more wilderness variation. The Construction Set, though I heard it is more limited than the one from Morrowind (I only made a few cells and npc's with it, I wouldn't know) and the latest version is buggy. The less blocky bodies. Morrowind's bodies look weird, even with better bodies.

Povuholo
aliens doesn't have anything to do with oblivion really :P More Wilderness could be goodthere isn't much to do out thereNot like that. Morrowind landscape was 'alien' with its Telvanni houses for example. And creatures too: Cliff racers, kagouti, Nix Hound, kwama warriors/workers, guars... Something unique, instead of the standard fantasy elements which Oblivion has: Ogres, minotaurs, bears, boars, deers, imps, etc. We've seen those in a billion different games already. Shivering Isles is an exception. From what I've seen so far it looks more like Morrowind.
Switch
The good things... well that's novel. :P Let's see... The landscape. It may not be as original as Morrowind's but damn is it atmospheric (IMO anyway). It's the closest to real life I've seen a game get it so far. This is the one part they really did exceptionally well. A research budget well spent! The graphics. They're pretty amazing really; I couldn't believe the screenshots when I first saw them. The combat system - it's much better than Morrowind's. Especially the archery... the most fun I've had with a bow in a game! The Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood. Thank God they managed to squeeze in a few original quests somewhere! The Daedric quests - especially Sheogorath's! The music. I actually preferred Morrowind's soundtrack, but as modern games go a full orchestral soundtrack with that level of atmosphere isn't to be sniffed at. The Construction Set. Yes, the modability is scaled back since Morrowind but at least they included it. Without it Oblivion would have died some time ago. That's everything that springs to mind currently! Hsandman_1
It's a lot easier to name things we don't like about oblivion, becouse there is a hella'va lot of good things about oblivion :D Definately one of the best games out there, but there is room for impruvement. The fact that they are droping it like hot pattato after SI expansion is realy bad move in my opinion :( It has so much potential, people will be playing it for long time to come, hardware still catching up to the gorgeous graphics.. I would for all the gripes with oblivion, would still buy about 5+ expansions... What i will not do, is buy the "extra content" in small drips such as armours etc, even if it cost me 0.01 c ... (even though downloading comunity mods cost more for me to download :P), but that's just principal thing i guess and maybe even ilogical.

Voices
- The graphics in general- The facegen- The landscapes and scenery, very atmospheric- Questlines of DB, TG and some sidequests- The creatures, esp. the Daedra- Shivering Isles- The CS and the modding community Graphics -I finally got a computer that can get high fps with everything turned on high and a bunch of mods, so pretty. On side note has anyone run with vista and directx 10 on high? Is it a huge Difference?Characters - Sure some of the voice overs are terrible, but some of them have a decent personality.Character creation - The character choices are good (More hair and better bodies would have been a bit better but eh.Original quests - DB anyone?Mods - oh how i'm loving these.. Take that 360.uhhhhh........ I'm done.
DayDay22
No you will see no difference whatsoever since oblivion doesn't support directx 10, in fact it doesen't even use shader model 3.0. You also need an 8 series card from nvidia, or a X2xxx series card from ATI (if they ever come out). ---------------------------------------------------------------Back to the subject,I like the trees the most. I love the sway effect on them, it looks so pretty. And when I first played it i didn't believe my eyes the trees looked so real. I thought the screenshots were exagerrated. Also the first game i had to run on 800x600 on my 9700pro so I bought a 7600gt.
