noptasis
Since I was working with a deathclaw model as a basis, since I wanna use the skeleton/animations, the arms used to be quite a bit larger- and still are deceptively big. It's just that the pose is kinda awkward and the rest of the body is big too. With nifskope you can shrink the arms of the skeleton to make his arm smaller and still correctly follow animation. Pretty much the same way people made bigger butt and boobs. You can then give him this edited skeleton when GECK comes out. Wasn't Nifskope having trouble importing that stuff for FO4, last I checked? Caithe
I don't have the game yet so I cannot try anything but I'm pretty sure it's possible to edit nif to a certain degree and add them back to FO4. Since Nifskope is still in Pre-Alpha most functionalities might not be available though.A few people have edited skeleton already. Like this http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2677/? What still doesn't work is exporting from 3d program to Nifskope.
noptasis
Yeah, That's what I thought. I got the model through a custom script, so didn't even use Nifskope there.
noptasis
Model more or less finished, uv maps unwrapped. http://imgur.com/KZ4TOHU
TheOrangeTrain
Looks and sounds epic, especially with the idea of a quest mod to go with it. Let's hope it's not a waste of Bryan Cranston this time.
noptasis
Highpolys done, normal maps baked. Now to work on spec and color. Whew, this is turning out to be a crapton of work! http://imgur.com/a/9lEve
TeamBacon
It's a good learning experience. Keep up the good work.
noptasis
Alright, been a while. Made a crapton of progress after taking a big break waiting for the geck. I went ahead and made a new low-poly by retopo-ing the sculpt, which turned out pretty well, and baked normal, AO, and spec maps. Struggling with the color maps, though. Never was good at drawing, so if anyone knows textures well and wants to help make this thing, lemme know. http://i.imgur.com/0Yf3f6W.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/2nATIj1.pnghttp://i.imgur.com/42eevoH.png
