overhaze
Hi. I have played through Oblivion several times but all on the Xbox 360 (shocking I know). Now that I have the PC version I am looking to mod the heck out of it! The main things I want are. Removal of level scaling (very important :) ) Levitation or flying mounts Something to make the world less generic and, if possible, more Morrowind like. The removal of city walls. And of course the various sundry utility mods I'll need to get all this working. Any advice? The help would be greatly appreciated :) Edited April 12, 2011 by overhaze
zombierelic
Start with this http://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=327 a great guide by Bben about patch's First you need a few things to mod make sure to read the readme/help menu's for all of these you. I apologize if this is confusing. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2097 OBMM It is a mod manager I highly recommend using OMOD or making them with this program with any mod that doesn't tell you not to. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20516 BOSS is a must have for sorting load order's it does most of the work for you but you still need to read the readme to get the most out of it. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11536 If somethings gone bad and the conflict detector of OBMM hasn't found something TES4edit probably can, it's can also make mild merge patch's it's simple and effective. http://obse.silverlock.org A amazing amount of mods need this one and if it's installed right all you need to do is launch oblivion with OBMM to use it http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22368 Wrye bash is a all in one tool but its confusing to a beginner you'll really need the readme's and guide's to understand and get the most out of this one. After you install and understand at least the first three programs you can really start modding. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10819 A flying dragon mount it can be a bit buggy at time's but overall work's great. OOO and MMM both add many new things and OOO changes the level scaling making thing's much harder however there a bit confusing so I wouldn't recommend them tell you get use to modding or have a good guide but if you want to try http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=oblivionmods.detail&id=1757 for MMM http://elderscrolls.filefront.com/file/Oscuros_Oblivion_Overhaul;68542 for OOO And you need http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12060 to make them work well together. But there are many combo's for the many big overhauls and you should look in to them however I find this one leads to the least problems for me at least. Unique land scape's http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19370 plus compatibility patches http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13834 if its not working with a mod you've found this will probably have a fix. At some point a mod you download may need a new skeleton it will probably be this one http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27945 Just like above but for face's http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1965 If your going to want clothing or some type's of armor for female's you'll probably need http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15802 but there are many other body replacer for man and women you should pick whatever one you like best. A must have for magic user's it's pretty must a overhaul http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12466 A great fix if you dislike or want more from your UI http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10763 Once again I apologize if that was confusing. overhaze
Ok lots of body mods out there but there doesn't seem to be many options in the facial area. Any good mods to make the people of Cyrodiil look less mushy?
tnguye3
For the facials you might wanna try Natural faces: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1965It makes Oblivion NPC's less wrinkley.
overhaze
Already installed. I think the problem is more one of shape than texture.
overhaze
Is there any mods that will Morrowind style mushrooms or flora? I really want to make travelling more interesting.
overhaze
Also the quality of some mods are simply staggering. Lost Spires and Ancient Towers are quite a bit better than any of the official DLC. Edited April 17, 2011 by overhaze
orctor
I recommend FCOM for lvling scaling thingy it's OOO, MMM, FRANS and some item mods all together. This makes it way harder and funnier! This happend to me at lvl 4 or something? http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/7585/oblivion201104171834509.png You will meet armies of enemies and will often be forced to run away. Edit: I survived thx to my dremora. Had him stand and block all the goblins and me standing behind him shooting fireballs. He kills more ppls than I do -.- I was forced to train my conjuration because it was so hard without any help ^^ Edited April 17, 2011 by orctor
