  1. First make a backup of your saves just so you still have your characters. Saves are located in "Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Saves" When you reinstall, no matter what you won't get a notice telling you that the serial code is in use because Serial Codes are registered to your Steam account, so you can go ahead and install/uninstall as much as you want as long as you're on your account. When installing mods, and you're not familiar with manual installation, in the future avoid messing around with the folders and use the Nexus Manager or download the mods from Steam Workshop. As for the solution check the mods you applied to your characters, and take a look at their root folders. Usually they have something like Data\meshes or textures and then some sub folders below. Follow that, track the files and delete them from your game folder. After doing that for (probably) all character enhancement mods, reinstall them one by one. Each time you install a mod, launch the game and check if there's a conflict/crash. Keep doing that until the game goes bonkers, that way you'll know which mod is at fault. Good luck!
  2. I got this: http://www.nodiatis.com/pub/7.jpg and this: http://www.wizards.com/magic/images/whatcolor_isred.jpgTake the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.
  3. I'm kind of an aesthetic guy, so I play whichever gender looks better in a game. It also depends how I roleplay, for instance if I'm making a Warrior, I'm gonna play a male. Then I'll do a second playthrough as a female Archer. For instance, I played as a male Khajiit first, cause honestly they look full of win - the moment I saw the screenshots I said to myself "aight, I'm gonna play as a muscular white tiger Khajiit". I skimmed through the female races and thought they didn't look too good. After the mods came and I checked a few (that's a lie, a LOT) of beautifying mods, I hopped on and decided to do a 2nd playthrough as a female Blader and plop now I'm playing as a chick. ;p
  4. I think the combat is too sluggish and not rewarding when it comes to melee combat. It feels like you're just wailing away at the enemy and from time to time backing up to take a few sips of a potion. And then whether you kill the opponent or he/she kills you entirely depends on the level. That's understandable, but it just deprives you from tackling tougher dungeons/areas and instead you just go back and, do a lil' bit of this and that and then come back once you're ready, which somewhat takes away the sense of satisfaction. Kill moves look cool, but the animations are mediocre (thank God for the mods). The bow feels good, and I like the new draw animation, however the paralyzing and stagger elements are too random (again, thank you modders out there for the combat mod) and well, there isn't much variety with the bow. Magic on the other hand feels awesome...at first. Yeah later on you get the Master spells which are pretty cool but throughout your whole journey you just learn more powerful versions of the same spell. There just isn't enough spell variety (And once again, I thank you modders for your hard work to implement more varied and balanced spells). The battles themselves are nothing special due to the combat. They just charge and start swinging weapons at you. Either you do more damage and kill em, or they do more damage than you and you run. IMO if the combat system would be more robust, players would have to dodge, time their attacks and even maybe set traps (magic runes) before engaging the group of bandits/forsworn/you name it. Right now, the combat is just way too simple. I'd really love to see a dodge and overall an overhaul to the combat system. Only thing kept me playing was the immersive world, satisfaction of getting better gear and exploring the nexus and steam workshop for awesome mods.
  5. Yep, just read it. Ah well, thanks for your effort. ^_^
  6. Actually, the outfit I want is not the Fiona/Dorothy/Sharp Shooter. It's the one which is on the 5th page after you click on "Oblivion" at the left sidebar, being the file uploaded on 2011/02/19 (white top, gloves, skirt and black knee high boots and a leg strap with a knife in it). I guess the website blocks hyperlinking images and resets the website to the home page regardless of the URL. In any case I reuploaded the image, this is the suit I'm looking for: http://i42.tinypic.com/msivxe.jpg Hopefully it's not private, if it is, then too bad. Thanks for your help though. ;] EDIT: Possibly if this is a mashup, I'd be greatful if you would be able to tell me which part comes from which mod. For instance, the boots look very BRS-like, although I'm not completely sure. Also the legs seem to be too long and slim to be HGEC.
  7. @Naktis Here itt is: http://postfiles1.naver.net/20110219_288/wjdvvv_1298118202878KlqRw_JPEG/Oblivion_2011-02-19_21-20-34-71.jpg?type=w3 In case it doesn't display again, here's the web page: http://blog.naver.com/wjdvvv/80136733158
  8. Does anyone know what this costume is? http://postfiles1.naver.net/20110219_288/wjdvvv_1298118202878KlqRw_JPEG/Oblivion_2011-02-19_21-20-34-71.jpg?type=w3 EDIT: Oh and what body replacer is this? Looks gorgeous. ;p
  9. What graphic card do you use? If you use ATI, try open up the catalyst and manually set the mip mapping, AA and anisotropic filtering to your standard settings as if it would be your options in skyrim by unchecking "use application settings" hope this helped
  10. Name: Donjharr Race: Khajiit Level: 36 Top 3 skills: Destruction, Archery, Sneak Other specialised skills: Enchanting, Smithing, Restoration, One-Handed Love the Khajiits in this game! They look sick! :D
  11. Yeah I just realised this reboots Skyrim into the "original" steam version, not the updated version. :S Well, thank God I have the CD. I'm reinstalling this and never putting Steam online again. >.>
  12. OMG thank you so much! It works again! XD I backed up the TesV.exe just incase those Steam bastards try something funny again -- never launching this game through steam. Ever. I swear to God if these sons of a bitches will try pull something like this again I'm going to pirate every single game. Seriously, this is ridiculous.
  13. This just happened to me recently as well. I was playing Skyrim and then took a break. After I came back bam -- skyrim doesn't launch after I click PLAY on the Launcher. Then I check my Skyrim folder and my TESV.exe is gone... I also realised before I launched the game, Steam had some kind of mini update...
  14. Hey there guys, got 2 fixes here: btw currently I only tested it on Windows 7 64 bit 1. Go to Documents/My Games/Skyrim and edit the "SkyrimPrefs.ini" and look for the following line: "bGamepadEnable=1" Change the 1 into 0, save and done. 2. Open up Control Panel and go to "Sound" On the "playback" tag right click on the currently used device (the one with the green tick next to it) and go to "Properties" Switch to the "Advanced" tab. Default should be 16 bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality) Change that to: 24 bit, 44100 Hz (Studio Quality) Save and exit - run Skyrim and enjoy. :] Just in case lower AA and AF to around 2-4x sampling. Hope this helps! Post up if this helped ya! ^_^
  15. Happened to me first time after 5 hours of playtime. Happened again after another 3-4 hours. >.< Game is awesome, but this is just annoying! (/>.<)/ <(F**K)
