q111
Does somebody has an information about MCM for fallout 4. Is there anyone who is working on it or plan to do it when the Fallout 4 Mod Kit get released? Or maybe bundle it again in some UI mod like in Skyrim? Sorry to ask, but i didn't found any information about it. Because the last thing we need are the mod menus pre MCM (best mod ever)
RS13
Everyone's assuming it will happen, but not until the F4SE team has a few more versions under their belts and not until the GECK is released. I expect we'll hear more after the new year. Edited December 16, 2015 by RS13
q111
Everyone's assuming it will happen, but not until the F4SE team has a few more versions under their belts and not until the GECK is released. I expect we'll hear more after the new year. I think everyone is hoping for the Creation Kit to be released as soon as possible (hopefully there's no DRM included that ties mods to bethesda.net) and maybe there will be an UI-Mod like SkyUI for Fallout too (better sooner than later), but personally i think that MCM is one of the most important mods for Fallout. I never want to go back to the time before MCM where every mod had it's own configuration menu everywhere. MCM did not only fixed this madness, but also made configurate mods as easy as ever before. BaronofHe11
Might not be needed. There was at least one mod that added configuration options under options. Might have been true storms. I'll check the next time I fire up the game.

Edit: I was wrong, true storms lets you change the sound in the settings. Edited December 29, 2015 by dmitryyk
wellspokenman
Hopefully 3 months is not so old that its uncool to bump. *bump*I want to write a menu-heavy mod for FO4, but don't want to release it until we get MCM (each modder making his/her own menu seems like madness to me too). If anyone is working on this and has some docs/design principles to share at this early stage please PM me and I'll try to stick to the recommended practices. DanielCoffey
Don't Call Me Settler is using a Holotape for menu options as an interim measure.
phuhque
There are other mods that use a Holotape to get around lack of menu function. And they involve scripting too without requiring a creation kit...
waterlogic
Expired mentioned that he would build an MCM if nobody else steps forward. First thing needed is something like the UI Script from SKSE so that we can send data and run functions on the user interface files.
PoliteRaider
Expired mentioned that he would build an MCM if nobody else steps forward. Oh great, expired would be perfect (not as though he doesn't have enough work at the moment though). This is something I'd love to help with, but it needs someone with more skill than myself unfortunately. I don't think the creation kit would be entirely necessary, although it couldn't hurt. I think the most pressing question though is knowing how Bethesda will be handling modding after the CK release. We really need to know that to be certain that the work on the MCM wouldn't be incompatible with whatever they're doing, much like the current issues with plugins.txt and the beta 5.1.
