Fallout 4 Crashes when close to Diamond City

I too have this problem. Not only diamond city, the USAF Sattellite Station and the Robotics Dump will also cause the crash.

 

I did delete my Texture file and installed all mods new. Still cant figure out which one causes the problem.

I too had this problem, but it actually was my own stupidity (apologies to Fallout and Bethesda for being mad at you).

I've made a new texture for one of the bus stop signs and forgot to rescale it. It was at 2183x2183. The problem is not the size, which should be a power of 2 for a dds, but the fact that the dimensions were odd not even.

At 2180x2180 there were no crashes anymore.

Update:
I can get IN diamond city. Around diamond city / behind the river and the USAF Station the Crash occurs. What could that places have in common, that causes a CTW? *think think think*

I started having this problem also after the latest update I was able to trace mine down to the Clean Settlement Greenhouses mod and disabled it which stopped my Diamond City crashes. So far I have not had any elsewhere.

Final update: yeah, reinstalled all my mods, runs like solid.

 

So here's the fix:

1. Disable EVERYTHING in NMM
2. Go to Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Dat
3. Destroy the /Textures folder
4. Re-enable mods... but maybe just a few at a time, checking to see if you get crashes after

My strong suspicion is that it was stuff left over from the "CREEPY MONSTERS OF THE WASTELAND" mod. I was able to account for everything else.

I have experienced no problem whatsoever in my heavily modded Fallout 4 play-through until it CTDed just outside Diamond City.

 

All of a sudden all of my latest saves CTD when loaded. I had one in the hardware shop that loaded but CTDed as soon as I went outside.

I tried the method suggested here, disable all mods, remove remaining texture folder, activate mods slowly to find the culprit.

 

The textures I had left over (which I moved) were in Data/Textures/Setdressing and were folders and textures for Office and Nuka cola machine

I still don't know if they were relevant to anything but moved them anyway.

 

When activating mods I discovered that two mods I had are incompatible:

 

Pleasant UI (and it turns out many other UI mods too) and

Cartographers Map Markers

 

For me this was a very easy call. Leave CMM deactivated and continue

 

If I have this issue again I will come back here and write about it.

Well, I had the same issue as well. I disabled the mod "Improved Map with Visible Roads" and it seems stable now. I could barely get to the Fens entrance and it would lock the entire system or crash to desktop.

I had the same problem. Uninstalled this mod, problem solved.

I started having a similar problem now. However, it only CTD's from the area by the boat crashed into the bridge to Diamond city, and it only happens when F4SE is running in administrator mode

That's exactly the spot I'm encountering a CTD.

 

But MO2/F4SE wasn't running in admin at the time.
