[expert needed] no mods installing

none of my mods seem to be installed once i open the game no matter the type of mod it is. i have done the ini edits both ways, i have checked to make sure the plugins file has my esms, the mods are enabled in nmm along with their plugins, i have checked to make sure the launcher sees my mods as well. i have tried to reinstall, i have checked to make sure the files are not read only, and i have run the game as admin. i have run nmm as admin, i have tried manual installing mods, i have made sure the b2a files are in the data folder. i have done everything that i can think of to solve this issue and yet nothing has changed.

Same here. Some work, some don't.

I installed a player texture mod manually, then installed another one that should have replaced it. NMM didn't ask me what files to replace, instead it just deleted everything in the folder... something is wrong with the newest version.

I've heard of a couple of these sorta glitches in the new NMM already, could be something's wrong with the install scripts.

My advice, go for manual installs until they manage to fix it or rollback to a previous version which didn't display these bugs.

i rolled back and it didnt help, neither did installing manually. this has been an issue for me since the second time i tried to install mods. it worked but then i installed an enb that i didnt like so i deleted the whole fallout directory, when i reinstalled it never has worked since.

Deleting a file only removes the markers that show where the file opens and where it closes. The info is still there and can toy with other info that ends up there. Try shredding the files instead. This will make the file contents blank and remove the markers. I use AVG, I'm sure other utilities can do the same.

Try checking your plugins.txt found usually in C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Fallout4\plugins.txt

Chance is, something is resetting it. You find a file called DLCList in there, which lists what mods you have downloaded as when you last started the game. You probably find only the Fallout.ESM in the plugins.txt

Try to manually copy and paste the wanted mods from the DLCList.txt over to plugins.txt, save the file and (!!!) set it to read-only BEFORE you do anything else. Then just start the game.

i think i figured out my problem, and it cant be solved without an update th the nmm software. im still testing this but itd help if someone else with this problem could confirm. the virtual file install doesnt work for me, however when i just transplant all the texture, interface, meshes, ect from inside the mods folders inside the virtual mods directory they work fine. luckily the esp's transport. its just these other folders that wont. still testing this but i think i figured it out.
