talfrost100
So I've been playing for 100 hours or so, and I'm really having a blast. Thing is, the game is soooo easy. I've been playing on survival difficulty, agility + perception snaking build. I breeze through most of the fights with my heavily modded weapons. If things get a little too tough, it's not really a big deal because I have tons of meds, food and chems. Jet+pshycho is ultra-powerful and allows me to go matrix on even the toughest legendery enemy's arses. So, I've been thinking about starting fresh gameplay, this time with mods that would help to make the game a challenge. I was hoping to do this without self-restrictions like not using chems, vats, etc. also, i'm well aware that there are plenty of mods out there that change damage taken and given, but that seems to me kind of a cheap way to change the difficulty. Any suggestions?

shawnrogers1986
I started of survival and found it was basically after level 10 I could run through any building without regard to what is in it outside of Death claws that required some baiting into bad pathing doorways was just stupid easy. my biggest game changer was Darker Nights on second to last setting, along with More Spawn on high. might also want brighter settlements, im not sure if that one is linked to the power armor resetting bug though. reasoning behind those is I basically play a sniper build and you don't need night vision scopes in vanilla you don't need to worry about what time of day ever its always well lit outside so nothing can realistically sneak up on, and not threat of you stumbling into a pack of dogs/ghouls. which brings me to the more spawns, a pack of dogs/ghouls seems to avg 25+ =) it just adds some realism. my first play through I basically just want straight south until I hit the glowing sea you never have to worry about more then 5 spawns in a cell. I can't believe a group of 3-5 raiders are a "threat" to some settlement right? Up that to a army of raiders and we have to tactically setup up mines for a fall back point to be aware of the surroundings and flaking positions.
