redxmoon
all my mods were working perfectly. then NMM starts telling me something about longer load times, so i follow the "new" instructions they give you ( ) that broke my mods, so i reinstalled the game, did the old thing to get mods working and reinstalled my mods.. now they dont work either. some work fine and some dont work at all (like armorsmith extended) but if i add too many i crash (im adding the same i had before) idk what to do. Survivor301
This is also happening to me. One day all my mods randomly stopped working. I followed the new instructions they told me to change in my ini files and now nothing works.
redxmoon
i got it to work. completely uninstall FO4.. i mean like, remove everything. including the .ini folder in documents. and same for NMM. and the mods, and then reinstall everything. do the .ini instructions old and new. it should work. pedal92
I noticed when I changed my fallout4.ini from the old long strings version to the new invalidateolderfiles version , my mods acted all kinds of stupid, some quit working and all. I changed my ini file back to the old edit, long strings version, and all was good again. I really wish the team at nexus would update the mod manager to quit directing people to change their ini edit to the new one. As this is apparently not a one size fits all kind of thing. lightswornknight
You're going to have to do a completely clean new reinstall and I mean every file on your computer that involves FO4 should be deleted and try again.
haribo85
I have a question about NMM. Till now I was using manually installation of mods. Today I decided to use NMM, but mods doesnt work. What am I doing wrong? I download NMM, then change folders destination (Virtual install and stuff, cause didnt wont to open when were in Games folder - default). I downloaded NMM version of mods. Tick them and nothing works... I did it on new, reinstalled game.

Tick them and nothing works... I did it on new, reinstalled game. delete everything NMM and FO4 related. reinstall FO4 and THEN install NMM. (dont forget to edit the .ini files the old school way) you shouldn't have to change anything in NMM. once thats install and it scans your game and finds FO4 you set. just download and install mods

JFKeNn3dy
Might as well just FFR my whole system while I'm at it. Guess I'll just go back to Vanilla.
sherameyn
What old and what new way? I am sure if anyone is to be blamed, it's Steam's fault. It's always their fault!
