kyle6233
Not sure if I am doing anything wrong here, but I am unable to build or place anything inside The Castle Settlement's building/wall. I saw that there is a bunch of things I can scrap from inside it, lights and wires already setup...but I can't seem to place anything inside. I have done the quests associated with that location. Currently at 20 settlers inside it. I would love it if i could put their beds and etc inside the walls rather than in the center. Is there anybody who could make a mod so that I can build inside the walls? It would be a heck a lot better than building in the center or on top of the walls. kyle6233
Hm.. Must be just me then. I can't place anything up until I get to the doorway. I tried selecting and moving an object that is already in one of the rooms..but I still couldn't place anything.. Any suggestions? Here is a list of the mods I am currently using: Spring CleaningClean SettlementAlternate SettlementsHomemakerSettlement Supplies ExpandedUltimate Craft *Edit*Disabling all the mods and reloading the game did not change whether or not I could place anything. messbk
I think Spring cleaning is your problem. I used it for a while, but placeables dropped below the floor in the castle. inactivate that mod and see what happens.
kyle6233
That's exactly what is happening. I can only place underneath the floor. I'll try running without spring cleaning.
kyle6233
That didn't change anything. Also I just realized that I can't build on the sidewalk that extends around the interior of the castle walls.
ToxicWhiteout
Unfortunately I'm not sure how to fix your issue. However, you can always try this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/1267/? which lets you build in the red. If it's too immersion breaking you can just build your settlement and then disable it I suppose.

Jeffman12
I too get this issue. The only mods I have in common currently are spring cleaning and homemaker, I'm not currently playing on my PC though, so I can test that out and see if I get better results. I remember having the same issue somewhere else initially... I'll need to go check that out too. Edit: Yep still a problem. Huh.. Could it be keywords? The other location is the shack behind the drive-in screen.
Vwill79
I have the same issue still...tried all the usual disabling and ini tweaks. So I got around it by using Roof boards on the floor from this mod - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9209/? They placed right on the concrete - then threw some rugs on top and the furniture and items then placed just fine.
