jacey04
*Post contains spoilers*Ok, I would like to ask those experienced with modding or know the in and outs of it. Is it possible to make a mod that resets the story back to before, lets say, the Mass Fusion mission where you're friends with all factions, also bringing back the destroyed Institute and Prydwen? I know a solution is use an older save file, but I'm asking if its possible to do so without using that option, because my character progressed quite abit after the main story, and I've built settlements I'm not ready to part with. Thanks in advanced~
hto005
I was laying in bed last night and wondering the exact same thing, I've probably played 2-30 hours since i did the last main quest, and want to go back and be friends with every faction, but dont want to recollect/reclear everything I've done since then. And first time on the forums, and I find this thread, lovely!
jacey04
I've loaded an old save file for the time being. Regained my equipment via console and crafting. But my settlement... My beloved settlement I spent days making is gone. That's the only thing I wished I could have brought over. Yeah, That and every other thing to recollect and clear as you said. It'll be great if it was possible xD
Deleted2948850User
It's probably possible, either with a mod or with the use of console commands (reset all the quests back to where you want them to be).Although in my opinion it's not worth the work if you can simply revert back a few saves for the same effect. And yes, I'm aware you'lllose any progression you've made, but keep in mind that some equipment rewards/unlocks only happen after certain faction quests. Some of which are AFTER you've already become hostile to other factions (such as some BoS PA parts/mods). So reverting questswould leave you with with certain stuff you shouldn't have, doing in some of the immersion. Edit: As for settlement building, I feel your pain =/ That's why I build everything BEFORE doing anything else in later playthroughs. jacey04
Yeah, I guess it'll be too much a hassle. Having to resurrect every dead NPC as well. Make sure my factions are in order. Also reverting that many quests, I'm sure many bugs may follow through. I've only begun building my settlement after hours of playthrough after the main quest cuz I ran out of things to do. Should have did what you did xDHas there been any talk on the forums on a possibility of transferring settlements in between save files? Like swapping a certain cell on the map from one safe file to another? I'm think i'm gonna rebuild my lost settlement anyways... but would be interesting to know. Also there are many MANY awesome settlements in separate save files on the Nexus. Would be awesome if some of them can be merged into a single save file. xD Edited December 17, 2015 by jacey04
Deleted2948850User
I haven't seen cell transfer yet, interesting thought though. With everything you can now change with the whole settlements system, this could become as popular as (or more than) face transfers.
