Help on Skyrim Mod List

[Ardellian]

I haven't played Skyrim in a while and earlier I decided to update my mod list since there has been new mods and updates and I am wanting a second opinion on it and if you think i can run it at 60 fps. I have a Gigabyte GTX 760 2gb and an Intel i7 860 2.80 GHz. I'm planning on using the Realvision performance version and the texture mods at 1-2k. Feel free to add some suggestions on what mods to add/take off/replace with. ...lol just realized this sounds kinda formal after typing it all out :sweat:. 60 fps NO not with a 760

 

ENB plus a million textures on that and you will be lucky to average 40.

 

My advice would be to follow one of the step guides.

 

either Neovalens skyrim revisited legandary edition

 

OR

 

the step 2.2.9.2

 

skyrim revisited is more in depth and he uses vividian enb.

 

Great guides and will have your game looking great. Follow those they have everything you need.

 

with that said tho loading up your game with ENB plus a million textures on a 760 will kill your performance. I have a 970 and wont do that. But i like smooth gameplay.

Ok, I did as you suggested and took a lot from Neovalen's. I took a lot from his and added some mods from my own list that didn't look like there would be any compatibility issues.

And what if i were to set everything to 1k and leave only the NPCs and armors at 2k?

I would start with a clean fresh install of skyrim.

 

Use Mod Organizer. STEP recommends it and for good reason. Its just a far superior tool and NOT hard to use as some would lead you to believe.

 

Follow the guide and install the mods in the order they are listed. After you get ENB and the lighting installed test your performance and then keep adding and testing from there.

 

Test to ensure you are getting acceptable frame rates and no crashes or glitches. Always test as you go. Will save a lot of time and headache. Use performance version of vividian. And always use 1 and 2k textures whenever possible.
