Issue with MMM 3.8 and TES4Edit

When I try to make a merged patch in TES4Edit with MMM 3.8 installed, I get this error:

Sorry for the wall of text. If I deactivate MMM totally, I am able to make a merged patch. Thoughts?

You're using TES4Edit to make a merged patch? I can't help you, but I would definitely love to here more about these patches. Are they better/more complete/more stable, etc. than a Bashed Patch? Also, would you know how to merge the Unique Landscape mods?

 

Sorry to hijack your thread, I'm just genuinely curious. I've done almost nothing with TES4Edit.

To be honest, I only do it because Gopher said it was a good idea. I'm not entirely sure of the difference between the two except that Bashed patches merge leveled lists. I did some research on it and some people said that merged patches from TES4Edit are more stable and whatnot than Bashed patches but who knows how truthful that is.

 

When you use TES4Edit to "merge" (and I don't think they truly merge), you let the files run through and when it's finished, click on a mod -> other -> create merged patch. Wait til it's finished then activate in OBMM.

 

Merged patches in TES4Edit detect all conflicts whereas Wrye Bash can overlook some stuff.

 

Anyway, if someone could give suggestions on this, that'd be great.

Definitely looks like it. The 'server or configuration error' thingy with a messed-up web page has been shown to me for a few days already.

 

Edit: Wait! What does it have to do with this thread here?

 

Edit 2: Also, on the topic, Bashed Patch is the recommended one for Oblivion. Gopher mostly concentrates on Skyrim and the Fallout series. So for Oblivion, definitely use Wrye Bash. If I remember correctly, the video by Gopher was about Fallout New Vegas and FNVEdit, not Oblivion. For Oblivion, Bashed Patch is the way to go.

 

Edit 3: And to the OP, there is also the 'spoiler' tag here on the Nexus Forums. Should you post your load order again in the future, give it a try.
