  1. Making a scene (for recording, not playing) where I've a lady reciting a poem and would like to make a pseudo bard to stand next to her and play lute. I've a 2.46 minute wav file of music I've added as a dialog and am currently troubleshooting how to best get this to work. Seems the lute idle marker doesn't quite do what I want re: length of dialog won't get interupted pre scene so the bard does not move to scene position to resume/commence... PS: just discovered that adding npc to bard faction obstructs my intention re: randomly playing instuments... anyhoo, working on it...
  2. Apparently, there are now gpt plugins that allow for reading online PDFs (only a certain kind, though). I just built my first MCM menu with the help of AI... it's just having some trouble with 'scenes' (re: getting npcs to talk to each other). I tried uploading some pdfs to my friend's godaddy site but it could not access them. PS: anyone have some advice/links on making scenes?

  4. Would like to see a quest where a tribe of super mutants set up dozens upon dozens (maybe hundreds) of dead raiders and wastelanders in dioramas akin to Mad Hatter's table. Aanyhoo...
  5. Would it be possible, without some magic with TES3MP, to record, separately away from the player screen, simultaneously? Like from a floating auto camera or a companion view? I believe it could be an intriguing innovation in 'lets plays'.
  6. Make Whiterun actually in the middle of a great plain. Make twice the room for added mods. Would have to transfer every single object, door, quest. Could comfortably redesign every town to be bigger and refined. Almost every location and quest mod would need patches... Any expert innovation thoughts out there? Anyhoo, cheers. Just conjecturing.
  7. Anyone know of a mod that would prevent placed DEADBrahmin from showing in game? SOLVED- they have to be set as quest items.
  8. Found excellent fainting fatigue mod- https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/48864 Pairs excellently with CarryOn (after CarryOn gets a couple tweaks with Enchanted Editor).
  9. I realize its probably not simple, I just discovered Carry On (stamina/running mod) and it would be perfect if running was made impossible with depleted stamina (re: collapsing). I'd do it manually if I knew the ini/openmw setting.

  11. Its the ref. When I do it the console notification at the top center of the screen does say Dyloras is selected but she is not there. (Also used detect life, but nadda)
  12. Ok. So just finished destroying the crystals covering the Wellspring in the Dark Seducer stronghold. Am supposed to talk to Dyloras and am given a quest marker, but she isn't there. I've tried the 'prid' and 'moveto player' commands but she does not show up. It could be one of 2 or 3 mods. OOOShiveringIsles.esp or maybe Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch.esp or even OCOv2+OOOShiveringIsles.esp?

With all available data we move with best course towards peace. Issue is some people think peace can be attained via lying.
  15. Through logical consideration I've discovered magic isn't real. I forgive the bad mojo you are attempting to spread. Until beginninglessness is conjectured self awareness is mechanically impossible. AKA to be proud is to not understand how motion works.
  16. Every thought and action is a consequence. No character forms of it's own volition. Hate is literal insanity, and to know evil is mechanically impossible is to be exempt from instigation that depends on it's belief.

  19. From scratch, pre insall. Make a folder in the root of the drive (for me, the C: drive) and name it something like aaaFONV (aaa could be anything, just to set the folder apart). You'll want to put a shortcut to this folder on your desktop. Inside this folder make another folder named ProjectNV. This is where you will download all mods and utilities having to do with the game. Next, install your game in it's own folder inside aaaFONV. Run it at least once to the main menu to generate the .ini files (located in the documents/my games folder... you'll want to put a shortcut to this folder in aaaFONV). (Get 7Zip for all your archiving needs) Get the New Vegas Script Extender (NVSE) from Silverlock. Latest stable version. Extract it (into it's own folder... just presume its always 'in it's own folder). There may be a GOG specific patch on the site as well. The GOG version comes 4gig enabled. Now cut and paste everything in the NVSE folder into the game folder (where the fallout exe is). Now, get LOOT mod sorter. Install it in it's own folder in aaaFONV. Run it once and sort and apply. (Presumng you've got the DLC) you will be notified about 'dirty edits'. Don't worry about those just yet. You'll want to put a shortcut to the loot.exe in aaaFONV. Next, get Mod Organizer 2 Standalone archive (remembering to download it to ProjectNV), unzip it into it's own folder. Rename this folder to remove unsightly version code and cut and paste the whole thing in aaaFONV. Go inside and make a shortcut to the .exe to put in aaaFONV. Run MO2. Select a 'Portable' instance (this is important otherwise it stores data in AppData instead of it's own folder). Double check in the settings that Paths are pointed towards the MO2 folder in aaaFONV. Now select the profiles and, whether or not you're gonna worry about profiles, there is a checkbox for archiveinvalidate the you will want to check. Personally, i think 'download with manager' is a counter intuitive feature because it attaches too much dependency on the mod manager as a middleman. I manually download everything and just 'load from file' with MO2... that is to say, do not feel obligated at all to have MO2 connected with your Nexus account. There are basics you'll want first. NVAC, jip-nvse. Also hunt down a new vegas stability video by GamerPoets. If you can get me a Faberge Egg I could walk you through it, otherwise most answers are only a couple searches away. Have fun... Just wait till you discover mod making.
