morokellll
Keep me on tab because I might be able to donate some stuff to your project. I have Seattle open in Google Earth right now, and my estimates remain constant from when Seattle was being considered as a prime city to construct for, "The Frontier." The problem thus far is how the assets are going to work and snap together in the Fallout 4 GECK. At the present, it is unknown if the existing skyscrapers have bld pieces or are completely rendered bld models themselves. Assuming there are bld pieces in the Fallout 4 GECK, I can duplicate the skyline in about a week... (10-12 skyscrapers). Now, whether or not I will have time to design the city... (shrugs) I promised that I would keep my laundry list of projects short this game so I probably won't have time to dump into numerous fully designed cities again. After all, my first trial run with the new GECK is going to be to rebuild Raven Rock. Alright awesome! I'll probably post another time once the GECK comes out to update out work so far and get more people to help develop this.
TeamBacon
Though, I would point out that a writing team could help a lot with dialogue. The storyline can serve as a much-needed outline to direct that team. I want to help out my fellow modders as much as possible, but I don't want to build a mod for someone. It has to be a collaborative effort, and not a 'director' doing 1% of the work and having his team do 25% of the work and then the other 74% not ever getting done. I'm giving him the chance to inspire me to join, I will not make a snap judgment right now since it is still really early. I'm just saying I expect more to be done if you want to convince me. I completely understand and I totally don't want the director situation happen with this either. The situation we are in right know does not require a 3d modeler, so I will contact you farther along in the project if we need your help.
TeamBacon
Bacon, you know I think highly of you, but to put it simply it doesn't sound like this mod is at the stage where it would need you just yet anyway, so I recommend coming back a little later when the storyboarding phase is done, as it doesn't seem like you're particularly interested in helping with that. That's what I planned on doing. I'm just trying to pass on a little knowledge from my experience putting together my team. People want to see content, and proof of your commitment before they join you. I don't say this to judge this mod idea, but I say this because I have gone through the process you are going through and can maybe help make the things I learned the hard way a bit easier for you. I am willing to show you what I did that worked if you are really serious about putting together a detailed design document. I truly want to help people succeed, because I love playing quest mods. Berathe
I'm interested although I have no experience in modding so not sure if I'll be much use (it's an area I really want to get to learn about though). However I'm happy to assist in writing/storyboarding etc...I am an avid roleplayer and player of rpg/adventure games, and in any way I can. I've never actually created a mod other than retexturing things before. I am going to learn how to use the GECK once it's released. If you would like to help you could add me on steam so we could talk more.
morokellll
Hello Nexus, I wound like to update on the production of the project so far. The writers have been writing dialogue for the first section of the main questline, revising the entire questline to make it as good as possible and to go into much detail as possible, and have started conceptualizing followers found throughout the world. I would like to present a few followers such as: EagleEagle is a complete maniac. He mistakes the Overseer as the person who took his psycho earlier, so he tries to pick a fight with him. The player can give him psycho to make him back off, and he replies very kindly to the Overseer, allowing you to ask for him to be a follower. Eagle has a very rough gravelly voice, and finds anything that causes other people harm amusing. Whenever he’s not fighting someone, he's always drinking or using chems. His personality is that of a super mutant - stupid and aggressive - but once someone is nice to him, he becomes one of the most caring people you could meet. Eagle has a bulky build with spiky raider hair wears a leather jacket (along with any scraps he can find on the road), and carries a bull barrel 44. revolver. He can be found in a tavern in Trumbull. MurphyAfter completing the quest “Wannabe Hero” (in which you escort murphy to pike place) you can then recruit Murphy as a companion. The player can then talk to him about his backstory, and about how he traveled from the east to find fame and fortune, after he heard stories about thriving communities in the Seattle Wasteland. On his travels, he was walking through a forest where He encountered two gangs, the Hounds of Hell and the Torn Sky. After fleeing from the Hounds of Hell, leading them to the Torn Sky, a massive firefight between the two gangs erupted. The firefight was ended by a large group of mutated chipmunks that killed all of the gang members. Far east in the map you can find the remains of both gangs, where you can find outfits of each gang, with the Hounds of Hell logo, a snarling dog on the back, and a Torn Sky outfit, with two blue slashes on it. He is equipped with a blue flannel and worn down pants. He has a pip boy and he uses a scoped silenced SMG, called the Perforator. Murphy has short hair and a beard. R.U.S.T.Y.R.U.S.T.Y. (Robotic-Uhmurikin’-Super-Tactical-Yeehaw!) is a robotic companion with the features of a protectron from the waist up, and the features of a sentry bot from the waist down. To obtain him as a companion, you must travel to Duvall where you can find him deactivated and stationary in front of an old trailer. You would be able to power him on by inserting a fusion core, and then he offers his services as your companion. Besides his hybrid appearance, he has an american flag hanging on a pole coming off his back, and his arms are modified to throw grenades, and use hand-held weapons such as shotguns. And there are other such as Abel, Big Betty, Sunny, Igor, and Xian. Currently the Dev team consists of MeTimeLadyKatieEmiKivelallout or 4allout I am still looking for people to help with the mod. We don't necessarily need people to help with writing, but I'm sure more writing options will open in the future. But, if you can, or even if you are just looking into it, I am still looking for music conductors, artists, voice actors, programmers, or pretty much anything that helps with the mod. Thank you for reading and have a great day! Edited January 4, 2016 by morokellll
