how to make custom sound ?

when i hack terminal she says something ... can i make it custom sound

and if so - how ?

 

im sure the question has been asked 2,5k times can someone point me to where its been answered ?

 

is it better for me to wait for GECK to come out or its nothing complicated ...?

It's not that complicated when you know how to do it. Like so many things I suppose. :wink: Download another mod that alters sounds and see how it does it. That at least will show you where to put the files.

 

You need to find the existing sound. That's the hard bit. I use BAE. or Bethesda Archive Extractor.

Extract the voices bsa. Then you'll need something to interpret/play the .fuz format. I find it easiest to just batch convert it all to xwm. xwm is the format it needs to be in for the replacer. Then you need to find the file you want to replace. It's a simple matter of giving your replacement file the same name and putting it in the correct place in the fallout 4 data directory tree. Assuming you have modding set up correctly, the game will use your replacement instead of its own.

 

Finding the right file, that's the hard bit that will be a lot easier with the CK when it's released. There are about 12,500 files.

What do you mean after the fuz formart? I havent seen a single fuz formant file in the sounds folder for any weapon . pls help.
