Thanks, but sometimes knowing WHAT to search for could help too.

Example: I was trying to find a mod I KNEW Existed, but I had no idea how to find said mod, (example was the one which allowed you to 'craft' light/medium/heavy onto armor)

Resulted search took me quite a while to find (Not knowing what to use as keyword, the only one that actually 'found' anything was 'armor' which ended up with close to 700 mods)

Now the above is an example of the headache it is when YOU KNOW the mod. (Without knowing the exact name)

So I can understand people posting after exhausting their search limits.

(But I do agree, please search BEFORE you post, at least try)

I take that back. Simply commenting on the original thread will raise the topic to the top again. So yes, we should search before posting.

I actually disagree with this. If the same request gets made multiple times, it serves almost as a voting mechanism to raise the visibility of the idea, assuming potential modders are even actually reading this forum in the first place to get ideas (I think most modders start with their own ideas, rather than a vague desire to mod, but whatever). Old posts are less likely to get noticed in this kind of thread anyway, so I personally see no problem with reposts, except maybe for the most extremely obvious mods that everyone and their brother-in-law is probably already working on.
