I would have to say Anvil also as I love the sea and my character has a home near the lighthouse (plugin). My second choice would be Skingrad. :)

Hmm, Anvil is my second favourite town, just because of the view and beautiful layout, not of the sea. I'm afraid of water. Heck, I barely drink it if I have to!

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So many posts!!

i started this topic about a week or so and wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i tought this topic was already closed! (i thought it' was thread hijacking but if isn't then these threads must be twins ;) http://forum.gamingsource.net/index.php?sh...mp;hl=favourite .... though it is a poll... and mine's not.)

i really liked to hear your opinions and by the way you can start to say you least favourite/ugliest town

(and no, kvatch doesn't count)

my least favourite town is cheydinal. we don't do alot of stuff there except for the db and fg quests and cheydinal doesn't interfere that much with the MQ, so it's useless for me..

as for the ugluiest maybe IC because it doesn't have the charming and elegance of the other citys though it's probabily the most usefull

i'm sorry for bad spelled words/expressions and any mixed words

*dread guy*

Tie game between Anvil and the I.C. for me. I like Anvil because I like it's house the most, so I'm always there. However, I remember when Oblivion first came out, I was at a friends birthday party and someone was playing Oblivion on 360. It was the first time I'd seen it. I remember being taken back by how awesome the game was and the quality of the graphics as my friend ran through the streets of the I.C. as a vampire at night. So, I really only like it because it was how I first saw Oblivion. Oh, and there's a lot of things to do.

I like Bruma, don't ask me why I just do.

I like the moutainous area and snow and I also like the layout and the armour guards wear. If not Bruma, then Bravil.

I am excatly the same LlamaSprinter, I love Bruma, and the Bruma missions are the best ones to, *minor Spoiler* with the Great Gate and all *end of Spoiler*

But i dont like Bravil, my second favourite would be Anvil, cause i like the waterfront type cities, and the haunted house amuses me.

I bought the IC waterfront house first and it was a good hide-out while I was a low-level thief, but as I gained more prestige in my profession, I wanted a better place to hang my trophies. I love my house in Anvil, and being an necro/assassin type, I love the 'extra' room in the basement. Before buying the Cheydinhal house, I saved the game and took a look at the layout. It was OK, but I didn't like the way the crates, barrels and boxes were stacked at the top of the stairs. Too messy looking. Those should be in a basement or back room. So, I went back and loaded the game from before the purchase and passed on it. I did buy the Skingrad house and now have to furnish it. I must say, I broke into the house across the street and can honestly say I don't care for the neighbors.

As for mods, I have the Bruma Hunting Lodge, which I've used with one of my characters, but have avoided with my current thief. I also have the Imperial City Mansion mod loaded, but have never used it.

I think Bravil is a dump. I broke into the house for sale there and found it drab and cramped. Since I had a hovel already in IC, I didn't need another one.

Question: Does buying the upgrades for the Bravil house make it nicer and brighter inside? I didn't own it when I toured around inside.

Yes, the Bravil house does become much much nicer when bought. I would suggest buying it, just because, its a free bed to sleep on.
